As usual, Sundays go way too quickly. It’s kind of annoying.
I decided to do the 101 in 1001. My list is here: 101 in 1001 || RonniStyle. My start date is tomorrow. I plan to keep most of my updates about it there, but I’ll probably talk about it here from time to time as well. I saw that lovely_lunai was doing it, and I think starlit12 is doing it as well. Good times.
Last weekend, Aidan and his dad went to Kentucky. Here are some pix from that trip:
Monday, I went over to Chad and Christy’s. They made me dinner and Aidan, Chad, and I played with Chad’s Wii. It was fun, but that baseball game hurts. The bowling one was awesome. I also got to play Guitar Hero on the Playstation 2. Good times. I suck at Guitar Hero, btw.
Big Brother tonight! I didn’t pay a lot of attention to the last episode. My TV was being EXTRA snowy and I was on the phone. I only got the gist of what went on, so I had to go online to get the rest of the scoop. I do know that Mike was evicted. I’m not going to talk too much about BB8 because I read the community and some of the people on the community watch the feeds, so I’m not sure what’s been revealed on TV yet. I don’t want to spoil anyone.

You know what I want? Cable. I want it so I can watch Food Network. And Big Brother without snow. And fun stuff on Nickelodeon. But none of the cable companies have the rates for basic cable on their site. They say to call for rates. You know what that means? It means call so they can spend a lot of time convincing would-be customers to get the expensive, fancy digital packages. Plus, after fees and taxes and fees for the taxes and taxes for the fees, the cost can be $10–$15 more than the actual cost of the service. So even though I miss watching Unwrapped and all those other fun shows, I don’t think cable is worth it. WOW is known for its good deals, but again, “call for rates.” Blah.
Friday, work treated us to McCormick and Schick’s. I had parmesan-crusted tilapia, mashed potatoes, green beans, and a carrot. Michelle shared her white-chocolate raspberry cheesecake with me, because I didn’t like the flourless chocolate cake (it tasted too much like coffee). The food was SOOO good. I’ve been craving seafood (and Mexican food) a lot lately. Fish is good for me, so I want to eat it more often. It’s part of the reason I put it on my 101 in 1001 list. Now, I just need to figure out how to COOK it… I plan to start with tilapia. Can’t really ruin that, can I? I mean, I’m sure there is some nice baked-fish dish I can come up with. Tilapia and green beans. I think I can handle it.
Anyway, after the lunch, we were free to shop and browse at Easton. I did more browsing than shopping. I can’t believe the McDonald’s there is gone. It was so cool, with the karaoke stage and the little ice cream station and the mini-McDonald’s for kids to play on! Of course, there is a cheaper McDonald’s across the street in the Easton Market or whatever, so I can kind of see why this one may be on its way out. Still. Bummer.
Yesterday, I went to a good-bye party for a former co-worker. She’s moving to Florida on Tuesday, I believe it is. I took Aidan, and he insisted I take pictures of the two of us. Here’s the best one:

So, Sandy left ZB, and she started a trend. Tuesday (I believe), someone retired, and Friday, one of the associate editors put in her resignation. CRAZY.
Hmm, what else?
I showed Aidan some a video of when I was in the hospital about to have him. “Mommy, your nose is HUGE” he said to me. And it really was. I mean, WAY bigger than it normally is, and Lord knows it’s big enough. “Mommy, you’re fat!” Haha. Yes, yes I was. But he loved seeing the video of “baby Aidan,” of his first bath and stuff. Oh man, he was so cute. It’s hard to believe sometimes. Even though I have my little four-year old boy, I still have a hard time grasping that I’m actually a mom.
And my mother has hinted that she wants a granddaughter. Well, she was like, if I stick with not wanting to have more, she supports that and all, but if I want to have more, then she’s definitely not opposed to it. LOL. I’m still very much on the fence about having more, but right now, I’m still leaning heavily towards the “not so much” side. But one never knows, I guess.
I want to get my hands on the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix soundtrack. They had it at Borders the night of the book party, but it was $18.99! Oh HELL no. I’m sure I can find it somewhere else cheaper! Actually, I was in Best Buy on Friday looking for something for Aidan, but I didn’t even think to look for it.
And the library has kinda let me down. I took Aidan there yesterday to pick out DVDs. He got three. ALL THREE OF THEM are very damaged. Maybe I have a cheap DVD player. Okay, there is no maybe about it, I *do* have a cheap DVD player. But I mean, 0 for 3. What sucky odds. However, he did enjoy (very much) the Spongebob DVD I got him. I’d never really watched it before. What a weird show.
Thursday evening, I watched Little Girls in Pretty Boxes. That movie is ten years old. I went on imdb to see if any of the actors are still working, and most of them are! I was happy to see that. Man, I was shocked to learn that I could still hum the music they played during the bars routines, that I could recite some of the lines even. I guess I watched that movie a LOT back in the day, but it’s been years since I’d seen it. I used to be so obsessed with women’s gymnastics, and actually, NBC will be showing a meet in a few weeks. The Olympics are coming up, so I’ll definitely be getting more excited about women’s gymnastics in the coming months.
Wow, what an all over the place entry, huh? I should go eat dinner. I was going to make spaghetti, but I think I’ll have the rest of my taco stuff. Yummy.
