sunday

My Pleasant Sunday…

– Waking up at 10:15am.
– Writing ’til my fingers fell off.
– Chatting all day with my one of my most favorite people ever.
– Downloading music like whoa.
– Writing some more.
– Burning that heavenly Nag Champa. Mmmmmm.
– Feeling more content and relaxed than I have in a long, long time.

πŸ™‚

If only life could always be like this. Maybe someday it will.

So Freaking Productive!

So, I cleaned out my drawers today, and managed to free up two of them. I reorganized, and now I have an official sock drawer. Two drawers for pajamas (one for sets, one for separates and long-sleeved winter stuff), a drawer for tank tops, and a drawer for tee-shirts.

I packed away a LOT of stuff. Things I don’t wear anymore, or things that are worn out, or things that are simply not in season. Let me tell you how awesome it was to get rid of the 38D bras I wore when I was pregnant! And the big granny panties, ugh. Good riddance to those. And yes, I know I was pregnant like 3.5 years ago. I’m sometimes slow when it comes to getting rid of things!!!!

Laundry is still being done, so there is room left in the drawers for the stuff that’s being cleaned right now. How exciting!

I hung up clothes, I cleaned my room… I even thoroughly vaccummed (and when I say thoroughly, I mean used the attachments and everything). I even went to Meijer and Target and bought things to put all those clothes in!

So now I must reward myself… hmmm…. with food, preferably. πŸ™‚

Dawes Arboretum…! (Pictures)

First thing— I LOVE MY NEW CAMERA! It’s amazing. One of my favorite things about SLR is that there is practically NO shutter lag. And the manual focus option–LOVE IT. Oh yeah. I had a blast today. I got a polarizing filter, and I can really see a difference in some of the photos.

Second thing–Dawes Aroboretum is so nice this time of year. I didn’t see any mushrooms (ewwww), and many of the trees were flowering. It was just slightly cool, but not too much. A pretty day, perfect for taking pictures. Aidan and I went today for some Mommy/Son bonding time and also for a photo shoot of sorts.

Check It Out!

A Good Weekend.

Just Thinking...
Just Thinking…,
originally uploaded by & Banana Girl!!.

Today, Bizzy, Chris, Aidan and I went to The Dawes Arboretum and Black Hand Gorge. We got some great pictures and had a LOT of fun. I heart Bizzy.

I had a good day. Aidan dressed himself and came into our room saying “I very very cute.” Indeed he was. πŸ™‚

There was church. It was the celebration service. πŸ™‚ The choir was good. The message was good. I had a backache and slight cramps and I was STARVING for some reason, so I wasn’t enjoying it so much by the end. We hooked up with Bizzy, took her to lunch, and then we went to The Dawes Arboretum and Black Hand Gorge. What beautiful places. I used to get so annoyed when Chris wanted to go to those places back in the day, but now that I’m into photography, I love going. Bizzy is super fun to hang with, too. We had a BLAST. Especially singing the BOOTIE song. WOOHOO. πŸ˜€ I always enjoy having quality time with Bizzy and today was especially good. <3 You can see more pictures here: CLICK!

Yesterday was good too. Aidan and I didn’t get up until 11am! That was amazing. The cable guy came and installed cable for us and then Aidan and I headed to my counseling appointment. My counselor was very good with Aidan and she took us to Goodale Park. That is a beautiful park and I can’t believe I’ve never indulged in that place before. It’s very pretty and Aidan had a blast on the swings. She also bought us treats (I need to locate mine!) and it was good. After counseling, Aidan and I went to In His Presence, a Christian bookstore, so I could pick up another copy of The Ragamuffin Gospel. I had a copy but I lent it to Jon and Bizzy’s mom over a year ago and honestly, I don’t want to ask for it back. Meaning–I don’t mind if she keeps it because she’s so sweet to me. πŸ™‚

After that, Aidan and I went home. We hung out for a bit, I finished reading Lust by Robin Wasserman. I am eagerly looking forward to the other six books in her Seven Deadly Sins series!! Apparently this author has been around for ages–why have I never heard of her before? I’m not usually a fan of third-person point-of-view stories, but she is one of the authors who does it well.

She is an inspiration to me and there are characters running rampant in my head, dying for their stories to be told. The trick is that they need to tell me what they want me to share, and show me how to do it well. I guess that’s where this crazy writing talent God gave me comes in. Right?

And holy banana, is it really already 11pm? πŸ™ *sniffle* My weekend is over already. At least I have tomorrow evening and Thursday evening free. Tuesday is The Grove, Wednesday is Life Group, and Friday is AIDAN DUTY for real yo.

I watched Cold Case again last night. Damn you, Cold Case, for making me cry even when I don’t give two ice creams about the characters for the first 45 minutes of the show. I was thrilled, however, to be able to watch Pimp My Ride, and Southpark again for the first time in MONTHS. πŸ™‚ Ahh, cable TV. I promise not to abuse thee, but I did enjoy indulging yesterday, that’s for sure.

Good night.

P.S. I want this. Now. LOL.

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday

As posted in my AIM away message:

Had tons of fun today. I love the Maxwell’s pool and hot tub. πŸ™‚ Didn’t like it that Chris got us lost, though. But that’s okay. Sunday was fun, as usual. I’m all sunscreeny and chloriney, plus Aidan vomitted in my hair. I’m tired and in desperate need of a shower. In addition, my contacts NEED to come out. So, I’m outtie. Later, y’all! πŸ™‚

Yes, I had an awesome Sunday, as usual. Part of the reason is that I got to spend time with people I’m crazy about. I went to Sunday school, and then service. After church, the group had lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings (formerly known as BW3), and then a bunch of us met at Craig’s parents for a party. We played in the pool, lounged in the hot tub (mm, glorious hot tub), and watched Harry Potter. I also got some sunbathing in. I’m anxious to see how golden I am. πŸ™‚ Where we were–that was Luke Perry’s hometown. Craig showed us the 1984 year book, and sure enough, he was in there. He’d gotten biggest flirt!!! Figures. Heh. Good times, good times. On the way home, Chris took a wrong turn in Mt. Vernon and we got lost. Tacked another 30 minutes onto a 45 minute trip. : But I’m home now, so that’s all that matters.

I’m trying to think of what else happened today? I guess that’s all. So, with that, I’m going to hop in the shower, then head to bed. So, good night! I’ll answer emails and post pictures from this weekend soon, I promise! G’night!

P.S. Anyone have any ideas on what I should lead discussion on in this Wednesday’s small group? Eeep. Time to go and spend some time with God to find out!
