Day Three! (Pictures)

Got up a bit later this morning. I decided to skip the Tarzan show because Chris and Aidan had gotten sick, and because I was tired! 🙂 We got up at 9:15 thanks to Aidan, and I showered and got dressed. We ate breakfast in the food court here. (RIPOFF)

We went to Animal Kingdom and had a really good time! 🙂 We got lost trying to find theatre for The Lion King Festival–but I did catch a glimpse of Lilo and Stitch–(and when we found them back and Camp Mickey and Minnie, I realized that we’d missed our priority seating for that, not for Tarzan!). But the cast members at Disneyworld are awesome, and they moved our priority reservation to 1:00. It was barely noon, and there were character greetings all over the place. There was hardly any line for Goofy, and so we got to meet him, then Mickey! 😀 Check it:

After that, we went into the “and friends” line and guess who was back there! Donald Duck! 🙂 I’d never met Donald before so I was so excited. And then, I did my very first pin trade. 😀 YAY for me!

The we watched The Lion King Festival. WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW. I can’t even describe how awesome it was. Just wow. If you come here, you need to make sure you catch that show! We were in the FRONT ROW (thank you Priority Seating!) and they were totally interacting with us, especially with Aidan! 🙂 It was so much fun.

We headed back to the hotel for a nap. Aidan fell asleep on the way back to the hotel, but somehow woke up between the bus and the room. Chris and I dozed while Aidan had a field day playing around the room. He spent a lot of time in the window, I remember that. Weird. After naptime was dinner at THE GARDEN GRILL! They changed their menu, but the food and service was still superb (I had beef loin and orzo with spinach, and we shared a chocolate fondue for dessert) and it’s still my favorite restaurant. Our waitress, Jeannie, was really nice and cool. I probably would have stood there talking to her forever if Aidan and Chris hadn’t started clammoring for me after dinner.

But the character greetings during the dinner was so much fun!! They are so great with Aidan. Pluto was a BUCKEYES fan! And when Aidan said “Go Buckeyes,” he almost fell to the floor! It was the cutest thing ever. At one point, he danced with Dale, and he danced with Pluto (actually, he and Pluto were having a blast, rolling on the floor and dancing and all sorts of silly things), and Chip and Mickey! Then these two little boys came over from the next table and they were all dancing with Mickey and omg, it was the funniest and cutest thing! 😀 Chris got video of it all! 😀

After dinner, we went over to look at a few of the countries in World Showcase. We went to Canada and looked at a 360 circle movie. I thought it was okay, but Aidan LOVED it. He was absolutely fascinated. Then, we headed over to England. I just wanted to go in and listen to the workers speak; I LOVE THEIR ACCENTS! The really cute guy in one of the shoppes clued us in on Pooh being in the toy store. We went over, and not only was Pooh there, but Tigger and Eeyore too. We were the last family and boy did we get the VIP treatment. The family before us finished up and walked out, and then Tigger made a beeline for me and gave me a huge hug! Pooh and Eeyore fawned all over Aidan, and they all were giving him loads and loads of attention. Oh gosh, we must have been there for at least eight minutes, playing and taking pictures and having a wonderful time. Aidan got so many hugs and kisses from them, and they gave him three group hugs! 🙂

We watched the fireworks again. Good times. 🙂 Well, not really. There was lightening in the distance and I got a bit nervous. And my throat was hurting, and since it was so humid out, the smoke hung in the air. ButI bought two new pins for my lanyard. And I realized that most people around here are very nice. I’ve talked to more people from more places than ever, it seems. People sitting next to you at parades or on the bus like to talk, especially older ones. It’s great, and helps pass the time. 🙂

Other things I’ve learned:
– At the walk up counters, the kid’s meals are just as filling, a lot cheaper, and tastier.
– May is a great time of year to go to Disneyworld!
– Characters LOVE curly-haired 2 year olds named Aidan.
– Certain curly-haired 2 year olds are not allowed to have ANY MORE APPLE JUICE!

I think Aidan is going to be a Disney cast member someday. A performer. He has the look, the charisma, and the attitude for it. I think he’d be great at it. 😀

There is no agenda for tomorrow. We’ll probably play it by ear. Ear, haha. 🙂 Who knows what will be in store for us? 😀

PS I did have an update for yesterday. Somehow, I’d coded it Friends Only when it wasn’t supposed to be. 😀 It’s fixed now.

:) Again!

Had another fun day at Disneyworld! 😀

We started off the morning in Magic Kingdom. We got there just as it was opening, so there was a huge to-do going on with Mickey and all sorts of people. Then we got inside. Aidan and I went to The Crystal Palace to check in while Chris rented a stroller. Then we had breakfast. It was so cool. Piglet was kind of standing around, Eeyore was taking forever to move from table to table. Our server said “Tigger and Pooh will be here in a couple of minutes.” Then, while I was eating, someone came and kissed me on my head! It was Tigger! 😀 He’s such a flirt. Lots of cool pictures from meeting those guys. They all have their own little quirks. Tigger flirts, Pooh likes to hold your hand, Eeyore pats your back, and Piglet hugs. 🙂

After breakfast, we walked around the park. Rode the Aladdin carpet ride thingy. Why did no one warn me about the “spitting” camels? It got me good!

After, that, we were deciding between Pirates of the Caribbean and some Jungle Cruise when we saw Chip & Dale! Of course, we had to meet them. Then we rode Pirates–ugh. I didn’t care for it and it scared poor little Aidan! The Jungle thing was fun. Lots and lots of corny jokes, but cute just the same. Then as we were headed towards Adventureland, we met Captain Hook, and saw Peter Pan and Wendy dance by! 😀

I got to ride Big Thunder Mountain RR (MY FAVORITE!) and Chris rode after me. We did some sort of switch off thing where I waited in line first with a “fast pass” ticket. When I was done, I gave Chris the ticket and he went through the Fast Pass line and got right on. Awesome.

It was evident that Aidan and I were in need of a nap by now, so we headed to the front of the park. OMG, in that Times Square? There were so many characters. I had no idea who to go to. I ended up choosing Goofy and Snow White. Snow White was so sweet, and my first “person” character. She was beautiful and so nice! 🙂

We took the monorail to Epcot, then a bus back to the hotel. There, I took a nap while Chris and Aidan played in the pool. Then they came up and we headed to Epcot. I LOVE Epcot. Rode Universe of Energy, Spaceship Earth, then ate before heading back to World Showcase. Just as we got to Mexico, Chris looked down and realized that Aidan had puked. 🙁 And we didn’t have a change of clothes! So began the mad dash all over the park trying to find a store that sold toddler sized clothes. For BOYS!

We got him dressed and then headed back to Mexico. Rode their cruise, smelled the restaurant (OMG, the mere thought of how good it smelled is making me hungry!), and then headed to Norway for Maelstrom!! That ride is wicked cool. After Maelstrom, we took pictures, then waited for fireworks. 😀 Aidan got his head stuck in the railings not once, but THREE TIMES. You’d think he’d learn after the first time. When he went to do it again, I told him I was going to take a picture to show to his future girlfriend(s).

After fireworks, Aidan and I piled into his stroller and Chris pushed up to the exit. 🙂 Now I know what it’s like to be Aidan. It was so weird. We caught the monorail to Magic Kingdom to see the Main Street Electrical Parade. Actually, it has a new name now. Spectral Magic or something like that, I think. (Sorry, I’m too tired to go and get the guide to look it up!). WOW. SOO COOL!! I so totally want to be one of those parade characters. They make it look so much fun. We had prime seats, too. Can’t wait to show you pictures!

It was a good day. Except for Aidan getting sick, and then Chris passing out twice on his way back to the hotel room. He got sick too, and I think it was the mac & cheese. A word of caution for those who may visit in the future:

DO NOT EAT AT THE ELECTRIC UMBRELLA IN EPCOT!

That place is gross and we think it’s what made Chris and Aidan sick.

The longest wait for a ride today was fifteen minutes. We just walked right on to most of them. I heard that it’s even more dead on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I’m excited about that! Test Track, here I come! 😀 Some of the character lines were really long, but most of them moved very quickly. I didn’t get to meet Minnie, but I saw her! Mickey–saw him from afar. I’m being teased again! 😀

But I’ll definitely get to see him tomorrow. Yay for Character Dining.

What I Want to Buy Eventually:
– Disneyworld photo collage

– More cool pins (I bought two yesterday)

– Epcot!
– Dinner at THE GARDEN GRILL! (Yeah, my favorite place here!!!!)

I’ll try to get some pictures up soon. I’m too tired now to bother with it. Plus I’m on dial-up. Mmyeah, about that. Heehee.

I’m having a wonderful time so far. Hopefully Chris and Aidan will take it easy at some point. Those two were going hardcore today, no wonder they got sick. Actually, I think it was the mac & cheese. I only had a tiny bit. I also didn’t spend an hour in the straight sun (Chris is pretty red)! Meep. I’ll try to update again!
