I lurve long weekends! I really, truly do! McGraw-Hill treated me to an extra two hours by letting us go at 2pm on Friday. THAT TOTALLY ROCKED! I’m trying to think if I did anything special Friday evening, and you know what, I did! First, I was able to grab a nap Friday afternoon which was much needed and very nice. Then at 5:30, I had a massage. I needed it. My body felt like it was tied in knots, my head was hurting, and my hands felt like I’d been clenching them in fists for hours at a time. Heather really did some magic, plus talking to her is always calming. I was nice and Zen when it was over.

Afterwards, I met up with some friends at Tropical Bistro. It’s kind of a resurrection of Kahiki, which was a really cool Hawaiian themed restaurant. The food was just passable, but the atmosphere was to die for. It was so cool! Well anyway, Tropical Bistro was nice. The food was okay (best egg rolls I’ve ever had, and I don’t even like egg rolls!), the atmosphere was nice but not nearly as much fun at Kahiki. I’d go back, though. Anyway, here are a few pictures:

Dinner!
What I ate.

But I’d like to post about Thursday because that was pretty cool. I ate California Pizza Kitchen for the third time and finally found something I liked–the BBQ Chicken Pizza (sans onions, of course). Very tasty, and apparently their signature pizza. It has the potential to become addicting if I’m not careful. I also went to Hot Topic, grabbed TWO Boondock Saints t-shirts for $28, and a Boondock Saints hoodie for $9.50. I’m actually wearing one of the shirts in the above picture, even though you can’t see it.

So, moving along to Saturday. Somehow I managed to get out of the house and back to Easton where I was able to do a considerable amount of damage. Got the CUTEST mini-skirt from Wet Seal for $10, as well as flip-flops for $5, and three pairs of sunglasses for $1 each. Cleaned up at Victoria’s Secret and Aeropostale as well. Here I am wearing one of my new shirts:

Me!

The other special thing about that picture is that at Libby’s request, I let my hair air dry. In the past when I’ve done it, it simply looked like crap. But I was happy with it here and plan to do it more often! 🙂 Yay for less work! Woo! I also picked up The Boondock Saints special edition DVD for $3.19 (thanks to Best Buy Reward Zone certificates!).

Saturday night, Craig and Bob came over, good food was consumed, and Krunk’s New Groove was watched, which is a funny movie. Sunday, I spent a great deal of the day in bed for it was day FOUR of a painful headache. Popped into Easton for a bit to return something, then went to Meijer for painkillers before coming home and sleeping for a little while. Went to Craig’s for dinner and watched way too much Food Network while playing on the computer.

So now I’m relaxing. Reading a new book by Cherry Whyntock called “My Saucy Stuffed Ravioli” and also reading “The Snarkout Boys and the Avocado of Death” by Daniel Pinkwater, which happens to be adamselzer‘s favorite book. I’m enjoying them both, and also trying to eek out the last 400 words in my WIP to make my 45,000 word count goal for May. Think I can do it????

So, that’s it for now. I’m going to see if I can’t pound out those 400 words tonight before I go to bed. ‘Til next time! 🙂
