The Seal Has Been Broken (Pictures)

Magical Night of Giving was so neat! I got my Christmas shopping started YAY!!!!! I was listening to Christmas music in my car, and yes, I’m in the spirit. A little bit early, but not by much. πŸ™‚ They stamped my hand and I got all sorts of discounts in loads of stores. Hallmark had a special–buy one roll of regular wrapping paper ($4.99) get a mega roll free. Kaufmann’s had a spend $50 and get a $10 gift card for free. Everywhere had a “spend this and get that” or at least 10% off everything in the store. Free makeovers and hand massages in Sak’s, door prizes. I didn’t see the WNCI guys there, though. πŸ™ Maybe they were at the other mall. Oh well, I had fun anyway.

First highlight of the evening the wrapping paper light saber fight that Kristen and I had:

Then, we tried on dresses.

Here is me and Nikki, matching!

Here is the dress I FELL IN LOVE with. I wanted to buy it so badly, but I don’t have anywhere to go in it, and spending $150 on a dress just because it’s pretty is just not practical!!! But anyway, here I am:

My Mid-Summer Night’s Dream Dress

I had a good time tonight. πŸ™‚ It’s always great to hang out with a fun bunch of gals. πŸ˜€ I can’t wait for our fondue night. πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

G’night!!!

Friday night, a bunch of us gals went to Z. Cucina for their grand opening on November 4, 2005. I had a good time, just hanging out, eating good food, and bonding. πŸ™‚ I had Organic Chicken Parmigiana. It was VERY delicious. I also drank the best Amaretto Sour I’ve ever had in my life. It was outstanding.

Yummm!!!

I have started reading Someone Like You by Sarah Dessen (writergrl). Seriously, guys, she is SERIOUSLY an amazing author. Read her stuff now. I pray that I’m at least half the writer she is.

Busy weekend, and it’s not over yet. I hope next weekend will be a bit more relaxing, that’s for sure. Then the holiday rush will be starting soon. Can you believe it? People on our street have Christmas decorations up already. I’m not talking “let’s-put-the-lights-up-today-because-it’s-nice-out-and-not-turn them-on-yet” decorations. No, these people have everything decked out. Lights on, wreaths wreathing. It’s insane. I like to wait until the day after Thanksgiving–but it will probably have to wait this year. Chris has to work that Friday AND Saturday, and the weekend after as well. πŸ™ I guess I can put up the other stuff, and save the tree for mid-December. I don’t know, we’ll see. Aidan’s going away for two weeks in December, and I want him to be with me when we put up the tree. We’ll have to work something out. I plan to take LOTS of pictures. Flickr, get ready!! πŸ™‚

I should get some rest. I had a very long day and if I don’t go to church Sunday morning, Bizzy will not be happy with me. : Then there is a lunch-type thingy at the in-laws’ place. Chris is going ice skating afterwards which means Aidan duty for me, so not a lot of rest, I don’t think. Bah. Why are weekends so short? Dang it.

Did I happen to mention that my son is obsessed with ampersands now?

Good night.

Bananas Are Dancing (Lots of Pictures!)

I don’t know if I posted these pictures yet. Last week, Brutus Buckeye and the Ohio State cheerleaders were doing a Meet & Greet at Meijer. Aidan, a big Buckeyes fan, had a blast. I guess I did too:

Giving Five!

Me & Brutus!
Me with Brutus. I was sick that day, so I look like a big dork.

I’m turning into my aunt. My mom always called her Scatterbrained, and she always teased about how we are so much alike:

1. Underwear has to match outfit.
2. Hair rollers have to be perfect.
3. Thin.

Anyway, apparently, I am becoming scatterbrained as well. Let’s see. I lost my checkbook over the summer. I lost my wallet earlier this month. So…today I went to counseling, came out and realized that the park was beautiful (pictures soon, I promise) and the sun was out. So I got out my camera and took pictures. Then I noticed that I had no car keys. NO CAR KEYS. Ack. I didn’t panic too much. I retraced my steps 345874985 times. No keys. I called Chris and asked him to bring me the spare key. He did, and we retraced AGAIN. Nothing. Nada. My keys are gone.

I’m not too upset. Keys are replacable. Well, my footlocker key and treasure chest keys are not. πŸ™ But we can always find ways to break into THOSE locks. Thank God we had a spare key, though. πŸ™‚ And all of those little keychain cards–I have big versions of them in my wallet.

I have to be more careful about my things.

Jennifer (maids) came over (YAY!) and then we all rushed off to Bob Evans to meet David (who was in town from New York City) and his new friend Mallori. I dipped some french fries into gravy and fell in LOVE. Can someone tell me about poutine? Because I’m thinking the Canadians are on to a good thing with that.

After brunch, I had to rush off to counseling. You know that part, though. At least I got some amazing pictures, though.

See?

Cute couple in the park.

Fiery leaves.

More fiery leaves.

Lamp post.

More here.

The best part is–I turned off the LCD screen and used the viewfinder–and took pictures the old fashioned way! πŸ™‚ I just like to see if I still have “it.” Heehee.

After Chris gave me the keys, Jennifer decided to ride back with me. She said “You know, I think I saw your keys in Barnes & Noble, we should check there.” HEEHEE. I love that store. I got an “&” symbol bookend (see one HERE), a Sarah Dessen book, and a Writer’s Digest magazine. OH and a David Arkenstone CD–the one with that song I LOVE! YAY for that. πŸ™‚

We came home and pigged out again. Chris made meatballs, rice, peas and carrots. Yummmy. πŸ™‚ Jennifer left shortly after because she was tired, and Chris went ice skating. Aidan and I stayed here and watched Shrek. I’d been trying to get him to watch it with me for months now, so I was thrilled. He loved it, was totally captivated and even gave Shrek and Fiona each a kiss (via the TV screen, of course).

Last night was fun, too. A group of us went to Boo at the Zoo at the Columbus Zoo, then to Max & Erma’s for a late dinner. We had a lot of fun. It was VERY brisk out, but Aidan got a lot of treats, there were a ton of laughs, pictures taken (of course!), and just general fun times. I’m glad I went. πŸ™‚

Penguin

My son just learned what an ampersand is. I am so proud. πŸ™‚ Now he wants to see tons and tons of them. :O

I think it’s time for bed. Aidan is hanging on me like a little monkey.

EVERYONE (who this affects), PLEASE REMEMBER TO SET YOUR CLOCKS BACK ONE HOUR!!!!!

(HOLY CRAP, my son can count to 15. When did this happen? Last week, he could only count to nine).

‘Night!

Get Down Girl, Go Head Get Down (Pictures)

Last Monday, around 1:45pm, I started to get sick. My throat hurt, and I got progressively weaker as the day progressed. By Tuesday morning, I was so fog-headed that I called off work. For some reason, Chris decided not to take Aidan to the sitter, so I had to watch him all day guarenteeing me NO rest. I was not happy. The Grove was Tuesday night, and although I felt like a big sack of poop, I dragged myself there because if I didn’t show, there would be no Power Point! After a few minor mishaps, I got the hang of that Live Worship program and everything went off without a hitch. It was nice being in the mezzanine because I wasn’t feeling particularly social.

Wednesday, I stayed home again. This time, Aidan went to his grandmother’s and I slept for hours. It felt great. I also got to skip a day of meetings at work. During Life Group, Craig gave me a HUGE bag of assorted Reese’s candies. That made me smile. But I started to feel so crappy that we left early, and I climbed right into bed. I knew I couldn’t take another day off of work, I was going to be way behind. And I was right. Thursday was horrible because I wasn’t feeling all that great and I had SO MUCH work to do. πŸ™ I had to skip lunch and rush and answer 384798 questions and there was so much paperwork and so many files and how could I have forgotten about all the crap that was due on Tuesday, the day I missed? ACK. Friday was better though, and I even took lunch. It felt good when someone said “now here’s a face we haven’t seen in a while!” πŸ™‚

Friday night, I hung out at Jennifer’s (maids). She lives WAY in the country and I was looking forward to trying to photograph the meteor shower. Unfortunately, it rained and was overcast. So much for the astrological photo shoot. So Jennifer and I went to Best Buy where Aidan threw a major fit. We left Best Buy pretty quickly, and headed to Skip’s Family Restaurant which was SUPER YUMMY. Then we went to Target. I had way too much fun there. I bought one of those combination ceramic flat/curling irons. I really like it. Ceramic is awesome, and it heats up so quickly. Yummy flatirons.

Anyway, back to Jennifer’s we headed, where we exchanged music and acted silly with our computers. Our song for the night was “Goldigger” by Kanye West. GOOD TIMES, let me tell you. Honestly, we each lose 15 IQ points when we get together. It’s so fun.

Saturday, I slept most of the day (relapse of the sickness) while Chris took Aidan to his parents where they watched the Ohio State game. And just let me say that my son is OBSESSED with the Buckeyes. Locally, there is a remix of Hollaback Girl put to some OSU band music. It’s pretty sweet. Aidan makes me play it over and over and over and over. You should check it out. Get it here: CLICK!

Saturday night, we went to Chris’s High School reunion. It was interesting to see all these people he’d talked about over the years. I had a good time, actually. Especially when they played “Pour Some Sugar On Me.” I happen to LOVE that song. Oh yes. And…a really pretty girl said that she and her friend were saying “Chris’s wife is HOT.” HAHA. πŸ™‚ I must admit, I did look cute, especially here:

The Johnstown High class of 1995 – 10 years later.
Chris is the red-eyed dork in the back center. HA.
And believe it or not, the girl on the floor in the white top has FIVE children. Isn’t it freakin’ amazing how great she looks??

Sunday, we went to church and came home and lazed around. I made Chris cook his YUMMY chili for lunch, but it gave me terrible heartburn. πŸ™ Chris hooked his computer back up and we had to jump through some hoops to get it set up properly. I relaxed and Aidan relaxed and it was good. We all went to bed fairly early.

Yesterday was busy as all bananas at work!!! It was crazy. Being a tracker of about 3487389 different projects is hard and more and more are coming. In addition, proofs are coming and filing will need to commence VERY SOON and say, the copy machine and I are going to become very close. Today wasn’t as bad, but tomorrow is meeting day. πŸ™ I’m honestly going to look into bowing out of some of them–I have way too much to do to be sitting in meetings all day.

What is up with iTunes, coming out with updates every other day it seems? And honestly, does it HAVE to make me install Quicktime every single time??? *sigh*

Jennifer and I are DORKS
