Potluck Entry

So, in order to “slowly” earn some extra money while still hunting for a part-time position that goes with the hours I’m available and will give me enough of a boost to not feel so panicked and allow me to eat out at a Bob Evans or something every once in a while, I signed up for this thing called Hits4Pay. Basically, all I do is view some websites (most of them are viewing ads for those sites that say “Earn $500 a day working from home” which of course, you’re not obligated to do) and then I get credited 2 cents per ad. It’s brainless work, really, and I got $10 just for signing up. You don’t pay any fees, and it doesn’t take a lot of time. I won’t get rich doing this, but it’ll be nice to earn a few extra bucks a month anyway. Then I can get myself a Whopper without feeling too guilty.

If you’d like to sign up, click here: http://hits4pay.com/members/index.cgi?lilrongal
Seriously, it’s really easy. Slow going, but better than doing nothing.

1. The LJ community. Oh my goodness. What adorable icons!! πŸ™‚
2. Books, glorious books!
3. A certain little kitty who has made herself comfortable on my lap.
4. Working on revising the ZB style guide.
5. Dinner in the oven. It smells so amazing!

I suppose that’s all for now. πŸ™‚ See ya!

Good Things

I’m hanging out at cheebychumba‘s, watching The Office with him, his brother, his roommate, and his roommate’s girlfriend. I drove over in my pajamas, and post-shower, so when I go home tonight, I’ll go straight to bed. Well, I’ll be ABLE to. Who knows if I ACTUALLY will!

Anyway, helenatural does these… what I call positivity posts, and I figure it’s time for me to do one. It’s been a while. So here goes.

Positiveness

1. Getting a huge pat on the back for the Pre-K TE Style Guide I put together at work;
2. Good conversation with good people;
3. Finding a Burger King located fewer than five minutes from my apartment!!
4. Brownies fresh from the oven;
5. Newsies;
6. Free Cheryl & Co. cookies every month at work from a vendor. (Can’t wait for Snickerdoodle month!)
7. When boys call other boys “bitch”;
8. Tomorrow being FRIDAY;
9. Sudden, unexpected instances of being saved;
10. ♥

So, a few weeks ago, I was at work, talking to Tamera. Just about random stuff. She mentioned this planetarium she got from The Discovery Channel Store. You can set it to any part of the world, and it’ll project the stars onto your ceiling. She said it’s the coolest thing ever. That evening, I got home from work and opened a letter from meimeigui. In it was two gift cards; one of them $30 to The Discovery Channel Store. The planetarium? $29.99. Guess what I’m gonna use my gift card for when I go to that store this Sunday? πŸ™‚

All right, gonna head out. I’ve gotta go home and go to bed. Or at least pretend I’m going there. ‘Til next time!

A Good Day

The cats tried to wake me up at 5am today. I was having none of that. I rolled over and slept until about 7, which is when I usually get up. I rolled over again and got up a bit after 9am. Nice.

I took a long bath, played on the computer, and got all dolled up (not really) for my massage. And the MASSAGE. Oh my God. It was 90 minutes of heaven. She really worked out some tough kinks. I still feel extremely relaxed and ready for either a nap or a Yoga session. I went to Gentle Wind, which is a new-age type center. They have lots of neat things to buy, and I picked up some crystals, a Tai-Chi DVD, some incense, a faerie figurine, and a surprise for Ivy (swankivy). Now, I’m kind of farting around, doing laundry, and trying to make some decisions.

Decision #1 – What to eat?
– Order a pizza
– Make spaghetti
– Make bacon and hot cereal
– Cold cereal

Decision #2 – Location
– Do I want to go downstairs and chill out in the (CLEAN) family room, or stay up here in the bedroom?
– Do I want to go shopping later or stay home, where it’s warm?

Decision #3 – Activities
– Write
– Watch The OC
– Nap
– Yoga or Pilates or Tai Chi
– Read
– Take it easy

Man, if only life were always like this. :)
