to do

Posting on Borrowed Time

So, I’m using dial-up right now because Road Runner is being pissy for some reason. I hope it’s back to normal tomorrow. AOL only gives me 5 free dial up hours. Then they charge $2.95 per hour after that. I hate not having broadband. Tonight, I was going to catch up on all my email. I’m disappointed that I can’t do it. So, those of you who read my LJ and send me email, I PROMISE I’ll get back to you ASAP.

Had a fun day Sunday. Sunday school, church, lunch with cool people. I’m always happy to help Jen H delay her Monday. I love the time with Joshua A, and Garth. Chad, Christy and her sister Aimee came too! Lunch was fun. I was glad to see Sheena there, for she is on her way to Kentucky on Tuesday. I didn’t get to know her really well, but I’ll miss her. My little boy. WOW. He went to everyone and gave them all hugs. Then I came home and CLEANED MY CLOSET. Yes, folks. My closet is CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. I’m so thrilled. I hope I can keep it that way for longer than 3 days.

So, here’s the inventory:

[x] My closet
[x] Master bedroom
[ ] Living Room (vaccuum and spot treat carpet)

Oh my goodness. I just realized that my monitor is gross. So, another thing to add to my cleaning list:

[ ] Computer Monitor

I need to go shopping. CASH ONLY shopping! Here is my list:

[ ] Air fresheners (assorted types)
[ ] Toilet paper
[ ] Light bulbs
[ ] Trash bags
[ ] Present for Kelly P.
[ ] Prescription refill
[ ] Contact solution

I think that’s all. And yeah, the monitor is driving me nuts. I really need to go to bed. Not sure why I’m not very sleepy. If I lay down, I’d probaby be out like a light, but right now, I’m fine. Sore, but fine. And clean, too. Mmm. I love baths, and I especially like the Oil of Olay bar soap. It smells so yummy and I’m so soft. ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s fun to be clean.

Okay, okay. I’m going to bed. ๐Ÿ™‚

GOALS

GOALS

Here are my goals – to be reached by September 21, 2004:

  1. Weigh solid 105 pounds. No more fluctuating.
  2. Pay off one credit card.
  3. Have manuscript queried.
  4. Save $$.
  5. Memorize 3 Bible verses

All of these will require tremendous amounts of discipline.  So, I have to put some rules into place:

  1. No eating after 9pm (especially JUNK FOOD).
  2. Watch the food I eat–cut down on the junk food and sugar.
  3. No frivolous spending (this one’s going to hurt).
  4. NO MORE CHARGING FOR CLOTHES/BOOKS/CDs, etc.
  5. Make more time for God.

I have to really start taking better care of myself.  Getting to bed earlier, for one.  For some reason, I just wake up around 9pm, and I get all creative and hyper.  It kind of sucks.

But oh well.  I’m a night owl.  May as well accept it.

The List

THINGS I NEED TO DO:

1. CLEAN MY ROOM. It’s desperate. Normally, I can blame Chris for the mess, but this time it’s all me. Clothes, jewelry, shoes, books are EVERYWHERE. NOT GOOD.

2. LAUNDRY. Let’s just say this needs to be done ASAP.

3. CLEAN OUT MY CAR. Fortunately, this is not too bad. But it could use some straightening. You know, I never understood the point of those places where you pay money to wash your own car. What is up with that? I like to hand over $15, and have 5 guys do the work for me. They vaccuum, clean the windows, even put in a fragrance.

4. WORK ON LONG SYNOPSIS. Yes. I need to get this done ASAP.

5. UPDATE ADDRESS BOOK/PALM PILOT. I just got a whole mess of phone numbers and stuff. I need to get them into something before I lose them.

6. MAKE MORE TIME FOR GOD. Isn’t it funny. The God stuff seems to always get pushed to the bottom of the list. Pushed to the bottom of the priority-chain. That’s not cool. I need to make an effort to spend more time with Him.
