99.3% Perfect (Pictures)

For the most part, I am very happy. And the .7% which is getting me down–it’ll heal soon.

Why I’m happy:

1. The presents are all wrapped.
2. The living room is clean.
3. The loft is clean.
4. The Christmas cards are finally all done, and I will mail out the rest of them tomo-er, today.

I had a good weekend. Saturday, I slept in, went to counseling, then met Chris for lunch at O’Charley’s. The food was very yummy–and I have leftovers in the fridge that I should tackle. After lunch, we came home to relax. I can’t remember if we took naps or not–I think I tried but didn’t really succeed. I had a new computer to play with! πŸ™‚ We went over to Craig’s, and out to Damon’s (yum) where we met Bizzy and Kyle, and then we all went to Meijer. Craig, Chris and I stayed until 2:30am. Craig spent a lot of money but knocked out a huge hunk of his Christmas shopping. We were there so late that Craig passed out on the floor:

(More pictures here.)

For some reason I was hyper (probably the night-owl thing going on) and I was up ’til 5am. Still, I managed to get up for church Sunday morning! πŸ™‚ It was a good message, and I had fun sitting with Kim PATCH! After church, Josh S, Craig, Chris, Mr. Matt and I ate at Max & Erma’s. Yummm, but I actually did NOT get my usual there. I did get cookies, though. Their Pick 3 is a great deal.

After lunch, I met up with Amy H at Meijer (yes AGAIN) to help her with her shopping. Then I went to Craig’s and wrapped all his presents for him. Wahoo, good times. I also watched a LOT of E! and Food Network. Can’t go wrong with that, huh? Man, I LOVE the Food Network.

Monday, McGraw-Hill had its company holiday party. It took place at Wedgewood Country Club, and they had an open bar and lots of yummy food. I really had a good time there. The best part is that they let us go at 1:30. How awesome is that? πŸ™‚ I took a nap, which was probably a bad idea seeing as I am wide awake now with a FULL work day ahead of me.

So with that note, I’m going to try to go back to sleep–I’m going to read a bit first. I’d forgotten how much I love Confessions of a Shopaholic.

G’night!

**Cough Cough**

So, I’ve been sick like whoa and that pretty much shot my weekend to H-E-Double Hockey Sticks. Aidan is off to stay with his grandmother for two weeks. Before he left, he hugged and kissed me a million times and said “I’ll be back soon, Mommy.”

I slept most of yesterday. I honestly felt so horrible. There was so much I wanted to do: start wrapping presents, clean, go hang out with Rob (who was making steaks and mashed potatoes!)… but I could barely sit up without feeling dizzy and weak. So back to bed I went, and I stayed asleep until about 11:30am. I got up, bathed, and went to Best Buy. Mr. Laptop is gone until about January 5th! They’re going to try to fix it all up, though, so that will be good.

I also stopped in at Taylor Square, finished up most of my Christmas shopping (yay, all done itskels), picked up a few lots more decorations. Then I came home and rested a bit.

Holly and Robert came over about 3. I’d forgotten they were supposed to come over so I could fix their computer. It was majorly infected–lots of spyware and viruses. I cleaned it off the best I could, and their pop-up frequency went from an insane amount to none. So yay for me. πŸ™‚

We ate and Holly helped me with some of the decorations. Now I’m feeling LOADS better (thank God) but will be turning in early so I can get through a full workday tomorrow. I’m still coughing a lot–so I won’t be surprised if they send me home again. I can’t smell a thing, I can’t taste a thing either. My nose is permanently stuffy. And did I mention the coughing? Yeah, it’s pretty much relentless. :

Anyway, I hope I feel better really soon, I have lots to do:

– Pay cable bill
– Buy stamps
– Mail 2nd round of Christmas cards
– Wrap presents
– Clean master bedroom
– Clean my closet
– Put away laundry
– Mail packages

**sigh** So much to do. Being sick really, really throws a monkey wrench in one’s productivity. At least I got to finish another book, though.

G’night.

Another Potluck Entry

Today was a great day. Well, I was really late to church, but I didn’t miss most of the message, and there was communion. Yay. After church, I caught up with a bunch of folks, and Nikki and I ended up at Tina and Theresa’s to help put up their Christmas tree! YAY. We all picked up lunch and ate it there (I got Max & Erma’s–I crave a BBQ bacon burger at least once a week), and then got to work. Check it out!

Afterwards, we went to Meijer where I did a bit more Christmas shopping, and Theresa got a few ornaments, a topper, and a tree skirt. We hung out at their place a while longer, then I finally came home. πŸ˜€

This entry is mostly full of happiness, but I do need to rant.

WHY IS IT that 99% of the time I get on the road, I end up behind someone who INSISTS on going at least 8 MPH below the speed limit? I mean, the sign clearly says 45 and the person in front of me (in a ‘no passing’ zone) goes 37. Sometimes, they’ll go past a sign that’ll say 50, and if they were going 45 before, they drop down to 35. What is up with that? It drives me crazy. I feel like they do it just because they can, and that’s just mean.

But anyway….

Harry Connick Jr. Christmas CDs. Amazing.

And digressing….

I feel amazingly happy. I like it. πŸ˜€

Christmas Time! :) (Lots of Pictures)

I got to see Bizzy not one, but TWO nights in a row. YEE HAW! That’s always good and fun! Last night, she and Craig both came over and we watched A Christmas Story, ate good food, ate Jello cake, and just hung out and had a good time. We’d planned on putting up the tree but never got around to it.

Chris called me today at work and said that he’d put up the tree and put on the lights and the beads. It was up to me to finish up. Bizzy had mentioned she wanted to help me decorate so I called her and asked her to come over. She did! We ate spaghetti, watched Mickey’s Magical Christmas, sang Christmas songs (YEAH for Harry Connick Jr!) and decorated the tree. In the meantime, Aidan was being absolutely darling. He woke up from his nap in a great mood and has been generally incredible all evening (he’s still being very cute and good-natured).

You should have seen him decorating the tree and then saying “My Christmas Tree!!” Lookee!

Yes, he is pantless. *sigh*

I have hit a 2nd wind, it seems. I probably should not have taken that cat nap this afternoon, but I couldn’t resist! And I woke up to Aidan touching my cheek–how wonderful is that? I’m going to be tired, though. It’s already nearly one and I haven’t had my shower yet. I should get off of here soon. BUT here are a couple more pictures first:

Aidan and Bizzy. Too cool for you.

Aidan and Santa!!!! <3

My Jello Cake. Mmmmm.

Bizzy approving of the Jello Cake. Yeah!

Guess what? THE HOUSE IS CLEAN!!! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Okay, it’s time I go to bed. Good night. πŸ™‚
