Aidan is taking a bath. He likes to keep the water running for some reason. When I asked him if he wanted a shower instead, he said “No.”

I went to Easton today and guess what! I didn’t buy one thing! I was with megnita who set a boundary. No buying anything unless it was under $5. Wouldn’t you know, it’s the time of year when very little is on sale. I saw a couple of remotely cute things for under $5, and of course, the outfits in Forever 21 and Aeropostale were calling my name, BUT I RESISTED! My heart is on bigger and better things now (like ºOº!!) and I have to keep my focus. 😀

I feel proud.

Although, I had to break my “no credit” rule. I was doing a purge of my wallet this morning, and I accidently cut up my debit card instead of the joint account debit card. Luckily I have a new one already, but it wasn’t activated yet. I’d forgotten about this til I went to pay for my and Aidan’s dinner. Out came the Target Visa for that and for gas–but I’m paying those parts off right away so it’s just like I paid cash for it anyway. YAY. Thank goodness for online billpay.

Aidan was good for the most part while I was out, but there were parts when he was a right brat. ARGH. Then, as we were leaving, he got his hand caught in the elevator and screamed. Poor baby. Everyone around us was freaking out. He calmed down after about eight minutes, though and was wanting to push buttons and play. He’s totally back to normal now. There was some minor swelling in his hand, but it’s gone now and he’s drawing so I think he’s gonna be okay. 🙂

He surprised me by eating one of those Cinnabon sticks. The boy normally won’t touch anything “breadlike” (in front of me, anyway), but he ate one and a half of those! They were yummy, so I can see why.

Dinner was yummy. Max & Erma’s. Mmmm. Megan and I shared that fruit and whipped cream thingy. Truthfully, $4.29 or whatever is a little much for such a simple dessert, but it was good just the same.

And last but CERTAINLY not least, I got a package from dwagonfry today!!!! ºOº It’s awesome! I love it all, Rosa!!!!!! 😀 😀 😀 I’ll definitely hug Aidan for you.

Um, I gotta go. Aidan’s disappeared and I thought I heard the sound of things ripping. Later!

Just Rambling

Busy week!! I haven’t had time to sit and properly finish Order of the Phoenix so I can move on to Half Blood Prince. Some of my friends are getting antsy–they want to talk to me about it and I refuse to let them.

Christy totally fooled Chris and told him that Harry dies in the 2nd chapter of HBP. Chris believed her! HAHAHAHAHAHA.

I declare, I am booked every night this week. Monday night was boating, last night was drama rehearsals, and tonight is life group. Tomorrow is hanging out with Megan (). Oooh, shiny! I’m keeping Friday open because Rob usually cooks something up for me/the gang to do. Saturday, we’re dropping Aidan off at my mom’s and he’s going to stay with her for a week. I should be back that evening, though. Maybe I can see a movie with some folks? And Sunday–well, who knows?

I’d like to thank God for a few things:
– Granting me that one last chance;
– Finally showing me the truth in a way that it sunk in;
– Letting me squeak by the pass two weeks;
– Exciting opportunites and learning experiences;
– Libraries;
– True friends;
– AIDAN!!

I’d like to ask God for:
– Patience in every area of my life;
– Perserverance;
– Faith;
– Guidance.

Um… my reading list is HUGE! I need to stay out of the library for a while–I have so many books and more coming in on reserve! Melissa De La Cruz, Francesca Lia Block (Ivy, I decided to try one out! I’m excited!), and two for my YA Chicklit writing course which will be starting in about a week and a half. Then there is the Tightwad Gazette I and II (so I can learn to be thrifty and get out of debt!), and all of my writing books. Not to mention Harry Potter which moved itself to the top of my reading list for the time being. Mmmyeah. With Aidan out of town next week, I’ll be able to get caught up and even do a bit of cleaning on the side. I’m hoping the weather is nice–sitting on the porch and reading or going to a park and reading under a tree sounds divine. Books, journal & pens, iPod, rotisserrie chicken sandwhich and pringles, and my camera. That’ll be nice.

We’ll see. 🙂

Oh who am I kidding? I’ll probably sleep. A lot.

I did get a few projects done:
– Surprise for certain someone has been completed and delivered;
– Online photo albums are current;
– House is at a manageable level of clutter.

But I still need to:
– Do laundry;
– Wash the car;
– Clean out the car;
– Get an oil change;
– Return laptop bag to Disney Direct;
– Give (or get Chris to give) Aidan a haircut;
– Mail surprises to a select few people;
– Go to Best Buy. I have $10 to spend there and one of the $5s expires Saturday;
– Update Writers’ Ink website;
– Send Ivy’s package. I am truly ashamed that I haven’t gotten that out yet.

Eventually, I’d like to:
– Start on my Disneyworld 2005 Scrapbook;
– Make a new Aidan scrapbook;
– Finish my current novel;
– Freewrite more;
– Download the Gavin DeGraw CD;
– Make and hang the Disneyworld collage;
– Move the white shelf and cabinet from the kitchen to the guest room.

Groceries:
– buns;
– lunch meat (mm chicken!);
– Pringles (if they’re on sale).

Other Stuff:
– New sandals for Aidan.

I have been commanded by Chris to bring back a case of Chocodiles from Los Angeles. I’m scared he’s going to eat all of mine! :[

I’m still very excited about going to Disneyland with Aimzy!! I can’t believe it’ll be here before I know it! About 6 weeks! YAY!! ºOº

As of today, I have to be committed to NEVER using credit cards again. This is going to be so weird–they have been such a crutch for me. I want to get to the point where I won’t ever need them–I’ll have the amount of money in cash to get what I need and want. There is nothing good about credit cards if you don’t have good spending habits or tend to be impulsive, both which are characteristics of myself. I’m finally FED UP and ready to take charge. I refuse to be in that bondage any longer.

Broadband & More

So, the Time Warner guy came out to check out our Broadband connection. Apparently, there was LOTS wrong with it, hence all the time-outs and instability. He ran the line directly in instead of through that dumb Greyfox thingy for one thing, but before that, apparently lightening had struck the drop box and some of it was charred! He had to cut the charred pieces away and put in new ones.

So hopefully my connection will be a lot more stable from now on. Yippee! 🙂

Last night was fun. Becky, Tyler, and I went to Rob’s to watch a couple of movies, eat pizza, and chill. We watched Boondock Saints (amazing film) and Hostage (not so much). We got ice cream and Becky bought Harry Potter at Meijer (the workers were dressed in wizard gear and were passing out candy), and I didn’t leave til 3am! It was a good night. Tyler said a hilarious quote about asses but darned if I can remember. : It was funny, though.

Rob had an idea of us riding bikes. Tyler and Becky were all up for it. I was quiet, but went along with it. The plan fell through (no good resources for obtaining air for the tires), but it was interesting. Huge storm kicked up last night. Not so scary when with a bunch of people.

So Wednesday, I had my first real fender bender. And when I say “real” I mean I had to actually report this to the insurance. I rear-ended a guy who was here on business. It was the company car which explains why he wasn’t upset at all. He was very nice, I was very nice. He didn’t file a report (YAY) and only if it costs more than $750 to pay for his repairs (a dent in the bumper and a few scratches) will I get a 10% surcharge at the next policy renewal. I’m not getting mine fixed. I just ended up with a few minor scratches. I have worse ones. They give the car character. It was really loud. Let me tell you, hitting a car really moves things around and I found some stuff I thought I’d lost!

Speaking of cars, I need to wash mine badly! Like, WHOA. The inside is a mess–I have several changes of clothes, papers, socks, shoes. It’s kind of crazy. I need an oil change like whoa, but I’m going to have to wait on that til I get paid again. Let’s just say that I’ve been extremely frugal lately and the only reason I have Harry Potter coming is because I pre-ordered it in January!

I wasn’t too frugal for lunch yesterday, but it worked out. I got my usual chicken nuggets and fries (the people there pretty much expect that out of me), then they offered me a free sample of their new turkey subs. That was very yummy once I removed the tomato. Mmmm. They also gave me a large fry instead of a McValue fry. The fry had a code on it for some kind of game. I just entered the code and lost but I got $5 off of a Playstation 2 game. I have $10 in reward zone certificates already, so basically, I can get a $20 game for $5. 😀 Cool, huh? And since McD’s is selling peach pies for a season instead of cherry, there is $1 that I save when I go. I don’t mind the peach ones, but the cherry ones are the best by far. Yumm.

My Spectromagic pin came in the mail yesterday. I got it from MrDisneyPins. $6 per pin and free shipping and a money back guarantee. Seriously, how can one beat that? I have to be careful and make sure I don’t get irresponsible with it. His listings are a pin collector’s dream. ºOº

In case you didn’t know, I am a HUGE Disney pin collector, so if any of you have pins that you just NEED to get rid of, I’ll be happy to take them off of your hands. I’m not really a trader, just a collector. So yeah. 🙂

I’m tired now, but I’ll be okay. Harry Potter comes in the mail today!! If not, I get my money back. Heehee. Aidan knows who he is. I showed him the cover of Goblet of Fire and asked who it was. He answered “‘arry Podder” in the cutest little voice! Awwwww.

I’ll bet the amusement parks and zoos are quiet today since everyone will be home reading. Heehee.

Taking It Where I Can Get It

Despite all the crap going on inside of my screwed up mind/heart/whatever, I managed to squeeze a bit of joy during The Grove. Garth was there–he’s a site for sore eyes for sure. GO CHECK OUT HIS BAND’S WEBSITE: http://www.exceptionaledward.com 🙂

I got to talk to JT for a long time. Now, I’d never hung out with JT, but I know he was part of the “crowd” back in the day. He goes to school in Atlanta and is home for the summer. Let me tell you, without going into a lot of detail, that this man is AMAZING and I hope he is able to lead other young men to be like him. I am eager to get to know him more.

Jon C is hilarious. And a good dancer. I did mention that, didn’t I? A few weeks ago, I’m sure of it. Because he is, ya know. A great dancer, I mean. We’re going to crash wedding receptions so we’ll have an excuse to dance with each other. “HEY! We don’t need food. We just want to dance!” Heehee.

So, the trick is for me to not concentrate on the two people who treated me as if they’d rather me not come over to talk to them and to focus on the countless others who went out of their way to talk to me. 🙂

And something always has to give me and Christie M a headache during setup. First, the projector wouldn’t turn on (Tyler finally plugged it in–DUH), and then we couldn’t get it to show on the screen. FINALLY it worked, but was out of focus slightly. Bah. Eh, one day we’ll get it together. Then we’ll have our own place so all of that will be moot.

Aimzy (liesandpromises) insisted that I (along with Aidan!) visit her in California and promised she’d drive me down to see Kelly (hybridpeach). 😀 Oooh, I’d get to meet Brandon and Becky!! Seriously, as soon as I can muster up some cash, I am there. I WANT TO GO TO DISNEYLAND! ºOº

So… still thinking about my new LJ layout. Well, it’s not MINE. As if I’d be that ambitious. HA. No, I nipped another one of LJ cutesy free templates. It’s rather wide, though, so I’m not sure how I feel about it. Hmm, I’ll keep it for a few days. I really like the page summary.

I got this rotisserie chicken lunch meat at the store early this morning. (Yes, I was at the store at 1ish am, don’t ask). It is SOOOOO yummy. I am going to have a sammich now. Yummmmmm. I have never had lunch meat so good before, I can’t stop thinking about it. I passed up getting BURGER KING on the way home for a chicken breast sammich. Whoa, okay???

Free breakfast this morning thanks to Sunny 95. They do these random Breakfast Breaks, and I got two danishes (one lemon, one strawberry or cherry), a blueberry muffin, a blueberry bagel, and some orange juice. The only thing that did not impress me was the bagel. But can’t complain too much–FREE FOOD!

Time for a sammich!!!!!!
