Just An Update

I have a lot to do this weekend.

  • Visit Hallmark. 🙂
  • The Bark
  • Put away laundry
  • Clean bedroom
  • Query letter!!!!!!!
  • Enjoy the weekend!

I really wish it wasn’t going to rain Saturday. There is going to be a party for Joshua A at the park. I was looking forward to it, but it’s supposed to be cold and wet, and I’ll have Aidan. The combination does not sound appealing. I might still stop by, especially if the rain has tapered off. We’ll see though.

I’d love to take Aidan to the zoo, but again. That pesky weather has gotten in the way. Drat.

You know, even though it’s trying to warm up, it’s still depressing to get up in the morning, see grey skies, and freeze all day! It’s so cold. I’m still using my heater in the car! When will Spring really get here? And Summer?

Although thunderstorms can go straight to h-e-double hockey sticks.

None of my friends have sympathy for me because they all LOVE storms. What in the world? How did I get tangled up in such a weird bunch? Storms are almost on the same plane as onions as far as I’m concerned.

Which reminds me. One of my favorite quotes from last weekend:

Kim P: I enjoy onions.
Everyone Else: EWWWW!

And now, it’s time for guess the movie. I haven’t played that in a while, have I? 😀
(These are paraphrases, by the way!)

  1. By the time this flight is over, everybody will be pregnant!
  2. As if I’m not already weird enough… LET’S ADD A TIARA!
  3. You got me straight trippin’, boo.
  4. Did you know I’m only seventeen? I probably shouldn’t be drinking this beer… seeing as I’m so–underage and alll.
  5. Get out of here you bastard, or I’ll burn you up. I’ll FRY you!
  6. Go drink a bottle of yourself!

Today at work, I was sorting paper clips. I don’t like the jumbo ones to be bunched in with the regular sized ones, so I was separating them and putting them into their own containers. I had a flashback to when I was in theatre and worked in the scene shop for work study. Periodically, usually after a show and a tear-down, we had to sort screws. Sorting screws was a chore to be despised. Almost as much as washing paint brushes. Ugh, I hated both of them!

Sorting Screws

  • tedious
  • annoying
  • stinky
  • took forever

Washing Paint Brushes

  • smelled like a$$
  • tedious
  • annoying

Dude, we got into some crazy stuff in that scene shop. I used serious heavy duty power tools such as table saws and jig-saws, (and got hooked on the Makita drill!), messed around with materials that covered me from head to toe in a strange dusting—and even though we had on masks and goggles, I still was sneezing that stuff out for hours after we were done working with it.

I miss it. I never thought I’d say that—but I miss it.

This is funny: http://www.bancomicsans.com 🙂 I found it courtesy of itskels. 🙂 You have to love it. Especially since they offer pages of free fonts to use instead of Comic Sans. Woo!

Had fun with my boys Rob and Tyler tonight. 😀 We ate spaghetti, watched a movie, and hung out and talked for a while. Good times, good times. I love Friday nights.

And… HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEGAN!!! 😀

Ups & Downs

So, now comes the hard part. Aidan was SOOO good all evening, and Chris just put him to bed. He’s crying for Daddy. 🙁 I don’t want him to cry, but I also don’t want to make a habit of getting him every night when he’s crying instead of sleeping. Especially since he’d been going down just fine before. *sigh*

I was having a semi-bad day. Actually, it was a rollercoaster day. The cats were acting stupid at 5am (-), traffic was bad on too many levels (-), I got yelled at (-), it RAINED (-), I was late to my meeting (-), Aidan was poopy (-), there were no diapers in the diaper bag (-). But, I ate McDonalds for lunch (+), Rob called (+), Aimzy texted me (+), I had PANERA for dinner (+), I got to see Christie M and Jenny E (+), Aidan was fun and cute (+), and I saw THIS:

Awesome, huh? You know how it’s raining and you can see sun in the distance–and you entertain the thought of seeing a rainbow without actually expecting it? Jenny saw it and pointed it out–the picture does not do it justice. It was beautiful and actually a double bow. If you look closely at the picture (off to the right), you can see a fainter rainbow above the bright one. 🙂 (++)

If I were to grade today, it would be a C+.

Oh no, now he’s calling for me. How can I resist that????

Whew. Chris is in there cuddling with him. 🙂 Now all is well.

And just for a bit of stupid trivia–I want a new guitar. One with lower action. Although I have a friend who says he can lower it for me on my Fender–I’ll talk to him before I consider selling it. If he can lower the action, I’ll be more inclined to play because it won’t hurt as much! 🙂 If not, I’ll maybe sell mine–it’s a Fender DG-8. I’d also like a lighter guitar–mine is pretty heavy.

Meh, we’ll see. That’s something that’s on the VERY tippy-tip of my brain right now.

And what’s on the agenda for tomorrow?

– More rain? (God, I hope not).
– Work. (Meh)
– Writing & research. (YEA!)
– Drama Club meeting. 🙂

Off to a bath, then relaxation for me. I’m reading The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot. WHY haven’t I read this before? WOW, it’s hilarious!! I love her style of writing. I picked it up at the library on a whim yesterday and I’m glad I did! 🙂 I’ll probably reserve all the rest of them and plow through them within weeks. WOOHOO! I heart reading!

Nighty-night!

So yeah. WHY did I see this outside when I looked out the window this morning?

I mean, this is really depressing. It’s the end of April! THE END OF APRIL. And it’s snowing. I mean snowing like a mofo. It’s still coming down out there. I mean, it may as well be December or January for all the weather cares that it’s SPRING, hello! 🙁

I had an incident. My windshield wiper decided to stop working again. I had to go to a gas station and pay way too much for a pair of pliers so I could tighten that bolt. Otherwise, I may have never made it home safely.

Now, the pliers reside in my car permanently.

Saw a movie with Rob, Josh, and Tyler last night. Sahara. WEIRD movie. Matthew M. though–totally HOT. Mmmmm. But the movie itself… meh.

Before the movie, I got to have dinner with Aabye-Gayle and her catepillar David. It was exciting because Aabye is from New York City and this was her first trip to Ohio. 🙂

Aren’t they so cute together?

Here is a picture of me and Becky from Friday night. I should have taken more pictures. There was an interesting situation involving Rob, Tyler, excessive movement, screaming, the almost lost footing of the recliner, and the near breaking of the lamp. I wish I’d had my camera out for that!!!

We are pretty.

Chris just put Saw in the DVD player. I have NO interest in watching that. So I’m going to go and head upstairs. I can’t believe the weekend is over already. The weeks go sooo slow, and then the weekends SPEED by. NO FAIR. 🙁 I don’t get enough time to hang with my friends. Especially with Tyler, since he’s moving away in a few months. Punk.

Ate at Cosi today. I was not impressed. Panera is nine million times better. And a lot less expensive, too.

My schedule for this week:
Monday: NOTHING
Tuesday: Chiro, then Bark at meeting Panera with Jenny E and Christie M
Wednesday: Drama Meeting (my house)
Thursday: Hopefully hang out with Rob
Friday: Hopefully hang out with the usual crew (Rob, Tyler, Becky, etc.)

In the words of the cutest girl on Live Journal Kassie (sleightofhandx): That is all.

Such Great Heights…

I went to the zoo yesterday. It was loads of fun! 🙂 We had a good time and got great pictures!

The giraffes were awesome, as usual. There was definitely a vacancy, though. One of them had died last week. 🙁 That’s so sad for me, I LOVE giraffes.

My favorite part was when we saw the gorillas. They’re so hilarious. But there was a one-year old named Dottie. She had a blanket and was so sweet and good. I took her picture, and she seemed really interested in my camera. I held it up to the glass and she put her hand up against it. Then I showed her the picture I’d taken of her, and she stared, fascinated. It was the most precious thing ever, and everyone was going “aww.” I wanted to take her home with me!!! <3 Little Dottie (picture behind the cut)!

Pictures!
