life

:)

This morning, I was sleeping and I was awakened by a big boom (Aidan opening his door) and running into our room. He gave me a big hug and kisses. What a nice way to wake up, huh? He asked for juice. I should have given him milk.

Oh well, next time.

He asked to go to the potty and he pooped AND peepeed! Then he wanted a bath after that. THEN he pretty much washed himself, and then put on his own shirt and gave me lots of hugs and kisses in the process. Now he’s all dressed and drawing letters on some paper.

It’s so weird having him back, but it’s fun too.

Had fun last night as well. Went to Rob’s last night. A bunch of us hung out, ate ice cream, and watched movies. Chris’s VERY COOL cousin came with us. Had a good time for the most part. πŸ™‚

I’m paying for eating the ice cream, though.

Now it’s time for church and then the zoo. WooHoo! πŸ˜€

Preparing For the Norm & Randomness

Things I Meant to do While Aidan Was Gone But Didn’t:
– Clean the house thoroughly (I only kind of straightened up, sorta)
– Put away my laundry (I guess there is still a bit of time to do that)
– Go to the doctor (he didn’t have any appointments ’til next Friday)
– Scrapbook

Things I DID!
– Organized my pictures
– Worked on my writing
– Nice things for people
– Hung out with some of my friends
– Shopped alone (ah, blisssss)
– Got my eyes checked
– Relaxed on the porch almost every evening since it’s been nice out
– Ate ridiculously unhealthily

It’s going to be so weird having Aidan back. I’ve gotten used to having less responsibility, taking naps after work, and shopping alone. He seems to be having fun at his grandmommy’s which helps me to relax and enjoy the “vacation.” πŸ™‚

I miss Aidan, but not all the work!!

We’re getting him Saturday. People are asking about him and wanting to see him. He’s very missed! πŸ™‚ I just want to hug him!

A Typical Exchange at Work:

Ronni’s Phone: ring ring!
Ronni checks, sees that it’s boss #2

Ronni: Yes, honeychile?
Boss #2: I need you to do me a favor like yesterday. Can you come over?
Ronni: You got any money?
Boss #2: I’ve got one thousand dollars!
Ronni: Okay, I’ll be right over.
Ronni goes to Boss #2’s desk.
Ronni: I’m going to need the cash first, please.
Boss #2: RIGHT!

He owes me a lot of money.

Random Sidenote: I’m eating Reese’s Pieces for breakfast. How’s that for 100% bonafide unhealthy? Thank Craig for my horrible diet; he got me one of those huge bags full of ’em. Yummy!

I have to ration them so I won’t eat the entire thing in one sitting.

So, I’m reading this book called The Boyfriend List. It’s really funny and touchingly realistic. I’m enjoying it a lot. πŸ™‚ I think I will write a review on Amazon about it once I’m done.

I have many books to read, this is so great. πŸ™‚ I love reading. I love sitting on the porch in the warm sun and reading after work–I’m going to miss doing that when Aidan gets back. Going outside with him will not entail sitting and reading, that’s for sure. At least, not until he’s older. I suppose we can go in the backyard–but it won’t be warm back there and what if there are mushrooms growing out of the ground? EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!

J.K. Rowling has revealed three chapter titles from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince to be:

Chapter Two: “Spinners End”
Chapter Six: “Draco’s Detour”
Chapter Fourteen: “Felix Felicis”

Not much longer… not much longer. I’ve already pre-ordered it and I even upgraded the shipping to standard so I can get it that day. YEAH!

I bought stamps yesterday but I’m not exactly sure where I put them. I wonder if they’re in my car? Speaking of, that needs to be cleaned out like NOW. Ugh. I hate a messy car and mine is full of clothes, board games, CDs, wrappings, all sorts of stuff. Yuck. Maybe I’ll do that tonight. πŸ™‚

National Scrapbook Day is April 30, 2005, I believe! Or is it May 7th? Oh poop, who cares? I need to get some scrapping done ASAP! I have all the stuff; all the pictures, an album, adhesives, new scissors, papers, etc. I just need the motivation to sit down and do it! I’ll be more likely to actually do it if I’m with a friend or more. So (itskels), we should make some plans. Leave the little ones with their dads, head over to Archivers or something and scrapbook like mofos. It’s been way too long, yes?

‘Til Later…

Blather

I thought I’d try to get through another day without updating, but that’s not the case, obviously.

I went for my eye exam today. Stupid insurance won’t cover my frames because I got contacts last year. Grr. So I had to pay $211 with all the overages (thin lenses, anti-reflective coating) and such for a new pair of glasses. I could have dealt with the drill-mounts I guess, but they are high maintanance.

The good news is that my prescription is the same, so I CAN wear the drill-mounts if I feel like hassling with them (they are a nice pair of glasses) but now I get a really cute pair of maxstudio glasses too. Ones that won’t be such a pain to maintain. πŸ™‚ I should have them in a week. In the meantime, since I wore my glasses to the place and the doctor gave me contacts to wear out, they gave me a free glasses case. It’s bright pink and tres cute.

Smells funny, though.

Heard at the Chiropractor yesterday:
Pooooot
Whiny Kid Voice: Mattttheewwwww! (mumble whine whine)
Matthew: I didn’t say that, my butt did.

Little boys crack me up. I wonder what kind of gems Aidan will spout when he gets older.

I’m hungry but I have no clue what I want to eat. Nothing sounds very appealing, so I’ve been munching on jelly beans trying to get some sort of clue. Maybe I’ll get Panera for dinner. Oh, but that involves effort and money. Although, it’s been a long time since I’ve had it. Mmmm. Asiago roast beef and chicken noodle soup, followed by a cinammon crunch or dutch apple bagel for dessert. Yummmm.

Drama club meeting tonight, but first a stop at the Post Office. πŸ˜€

Please don’t read this.

I Want To Go Home!

I am tempted to take off a couple of hours early today. I’m going to ask my boss(es) if I can leave at two instead of four. It’s so beautiful outside, and I just want to relax, run a few errands. Enjoy my last few non-mommy days. πŸ™‚ Work is easy-peasy today, so I won’t get behind.

Had fun at Chad & Christy’s last night again. Craig and Steve came over and Katie was there too. We ate steaks and quesadillas and corn on the cob. Yummmm. Ha, apparently, EVERYONE in the Reynoldsburg/Pataskala/Blacklick area decided to cook out. Rumor has it that Meijer was out of:

– almost all meats
– propane
– prepared salads

Chris and Craig and Steve went back to our house to get the propane off of our grill. I kind of destroyed our grill. I hope they can fix it… but probably not. Chris is okay with that because he wants a new big fancy one. I think we need a patio or something before we do that, though.

We’re getting air conditioning soon. It will be awesome when I throw parties but it will suck all the other times because Chris likes it so bloody cold…

Steve is hilarious. He can tell some stories, let me tell you.

I want to go to the zoo before too long. I want to see the giraffes. Rob?

This morning, I woke up kind of tired but okay. I got ready and left early. Then I hit traffic. There were 4490584905894038 cars out there and they were all slugging along. By the time I got to work, I was drained. My boss was teasing me. Meh.

MANDATORY TO DO – week of April 11, 2005
– buy stamps
– go to library
– shop πŸ™‚
– put away clean laundry

OPTIONAL TO DO – week of April 11, 2005
– load pictures on to computer
– organize photographs for scrapbook
– work on query letter(s)
– send packages

So, I guess a group of us is going to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee during Memorial Day weekend. An eclectic bunch of people it will be, but quite fun. I’m excited and nervous about this trip!

I will be quite the traveller next month. Florida for nine days, then a little break, then Tennessee. Good times, huh? Lots of photo opportunities, I’m sure.

Okay then, ’til later.

Outside

I’m posting on my porch. πŸ™‚ <3 Wireless.

I won’t be out here long, though. It’s really warm and too much sun makes me sick. And another bad thing… WASPS. AHHHHH!!!

But wow, today is amazingly gorgeous. I went and did a bit of shopping. Ooh, neighbors are here with a baby. Later! πŸ™‚
