Christmas Time! :) (Lots of Pictures)

I got to see Bizzy not one, but TWO nights in a row. YEE HAW! That’s always good and fun! Last night, she and Craig both came over and we watched A Christmas Story, ate good food, ate Jello cake, and just hung out and had a good time. We’d planned on putting up the tree but never got around to it.

Chris called me today at work and said that he’d put up the tree and put on the lights and the beads. It was up to me to finish up. Bizzy had mentioned she wanted to help me decorate so I called her and asked her to come over. She did! We ate spaghetti, watched Mickey’s Magical Christmas, sang Christmas songs (YEAH for Harry Connick Jr!) and decorated the tree. In the meantime, Aidan was being absolutely darling. He woke up from his nap in a great mood and has been generally incredible all evening (he’s still being very cute and good-natured).

You should have seen him decorating the tree and then saying “My Christmas Tree!!” Lookee!

I have hit a 2nd wind, it seems. I probably should not have taken that cat nap this afternoon, but I couldn’t resist! And I woke up to Aidan touching my cheek–how wonderful is that? I’m going to be tired, though. It’s already nearly one and I haven’t had my shower yet. I should get off of here soon. BUT here are a couple more pictures first:

So, okay. (Picture)

Just a few things:

  • While it’s exciting that OSU beat Michigan, it really isn’t that big of a deal to me.

Most of you know that I write.
Something exciting is in the works with the novel I’ve been shopping around.
I’m seriously superstitious, however, so I don’t want to spill the beans until things are more official.

I hope those of you who celebrate Thanksgiving had a nice one. We did. I got to eat lots of good food, relax, and read! Reading is always good. 🙂 So is yummy homecooked food, like this:

I got a random cold about 4:30am Tuesday. I woke up with a sore throat, but managed to go back to sleep. When I got up for work, I was pretty stuffed up. Now, I’m sneezing and coughing a lot. This truly did come out of no where. Right now, my track record is catching a cold every other week. Yay.

And… THE CHRISTMAS SEASON is officially here! 🙂 🙂 🙂 Anyone planning on fighting the crowds at Black Friday? This will be the first year I’m skipping out in a LONG time. But it’s okay. This is my favorite season–well, minus the snow, of course. But you know, I can deal with the snow for now. Can you believe that Christmas is in a little over a month? I have to get going on my shopping and Christmas card sending. And… now it’s okay to put up the Christmas tree–that should be happening soon because on December 10th, Aidan goes to stay with his grandmother for two weeks. I want the tree up before he leaves. But…when he’s gone, I plan to do all of HIS shopping. You see, Aidan is starting to remember and associate things, and if I take him along when I buy his presents, he’ll either want them right away, or he’ll ask for them.

Although… the Nativity set did come on Monday and *I* couldn’t resist opening it, along with the extra shepherds. Aidan is playing with them now–it is the most precious thing ever. 🙂 Now I want to get him the Santa and the Sleigh…or the Tree Lighting, but we’ll see about that. The free shipping promo ended, so unless they have another, it’s doubtful that I’ll buy anything else from Fisher-Price.com. Chris was thinking of getting him the farm, which would be totally neat for me him. Yes, HIM. Meaning Aidan. Um, yeah.

Aidan’s been sick the past few days, but I just did that video and I think he’s doing just fine now, hmm?

I might have been listening to Christmas music already… don’t JUDGE!

So, I went to get money out of the ATM yesterday and got a HUGE error. I knew I’d just gotten paid, so I was curious as to what the deal was. Turned out the credit union had cancelled my card because someone was trying to spend $300 at Walmart on November 10th. I wasn’t in Walmart that day or anytime around that day. So WTF?

That’s scary shit, but I’m so glad the card was cancelled. 🙂 But now I have to wait on my new one, and I’ve been using a credit card in the meantime. So I’ll be paying it off as I go, because debt sucks.

This is my workspace–one of them. I also have a laptop. But here is my main powerhouse. See the blanket, the doll that looks sort of like me, the laser printer? Most importantly, the puppies? And if you look at the edge of my desk on the right, you’ll see my SWEET ampersand bookend. Word. Yes, this is my favorite spot in the house. :)

The Seal Has Been Broken (Pictures)

Magical Night of Giving was so neat! I got my Christmas shopping started YAY!!!!! I was listening to Christmas music in my car, and yes, I’m in the spirit. A little bit early, but not by much. 🙂 They stamped my hand and I got all sorts of discounts in loads of stores. Hallmark had a special–buy one roll of regular wrapping paper ($4.99) get a mega roll free. Kaufmann’s had a spend $50 and get a $10 gift card for free. Everywhere had a “spend this and get that” or at least 10% off everything in the store. Free makeovers and hand massages in Sak’s, door prizes. I didn’t see the WNCI guys there, though. 🙁 Maybe they were at the other mall. Oh well, I had fun anyway.
