Science + Beer = GOOD! (Pictures)

I’m sorry, but this is bloody hot:

I had two good nights with two good guys this week. Monday, I hung out with Rob all evening. We ate dinner at Max & Erma’s (he bought!), and we watched Wedding Crashers. It was a good time. Rachel McAdams looked COMPLETELY different from when she was in Mean Girls. I honestly did not recognize her. I liked the dark hair on her. She was very pretty. I enjoyed the movie, and the company too, of course.

Last night was The Grove. But before that, I hung out at Abbie’s place. She made me dinner (yummy Van De Kamps fish!), and from there, we went to drama rehearsal at the church. Then I went to copy the Bark. I got 50 made before I was summoned to help out the multi-media folk. Of course, the projector wasn’t acting right, so we got to fuss around with that. Christie M. figured out the problem at EXACTLY 7:30pm. Jon C played Fix You and sounded darn sweet doing it. After The Grove, a bunch of us went to The Claddagh Irish Pub for drinks and chillin’. Jon C and I shared chicken tenders, fries, and salad. He bought too. πŸ™‚ It was yummy. I drank an amaretto sour. Mmmmmm. TOTALLY hit the spot. I enjoyed the time with those folks and with Jon C too. πŸ™‚

Jon C & Me

Today was work. I was tired and anxious to get home because I had to get started on my packing! So the clothes are just about done. I just need to pack essentials that are still in use (hair brush, toothbrush, deodorant, etc.) and the other stuff like a book or two, my journal, pens, my camera, laptop, things like that. I’ll do that tomorrow. There is so much to do still. I need to get gas. I have to get stuff to Lauren so she can take it down to New Orleans. Plus I have blocking rehearsal. ACK. Tomorrow will be crazy. But Friday this time, I’ll be in CALIFORNIA with Amy (nerdiness)!!! WOO! I am excited and can’t wait to relax. But first, I get to endure hours on two airplanes. Oh well, it’ll be worth it. Plus, it’ll be my first solo flight ever. I’m just a little nervous, but I have a feeling I’m going to be catching some Zs at some point, reading like crazy, and listening to my iPod. (mental note–pack iPod charger)

I’ll try to update tomorrow, and maybe Friday morning before I leave for the airport (mental note #2–call mother-in-law to confirm pickup/drop-off times). Of course, I will also try to update when I am there. We’ll see how that goes, though. πŸ™‚

ONLY TWO MORE DAYS (or something) ‘TIL CALIFORNIA!!!

Most bizarre line from a book ever:
“You must fornicate in public or forfeit.” – The Bartered Bride by Mary Jo Putney

HUH????

‘Til later…

P.S. Thanks to those of you who answered my poll and commented. For now, I’m going to put the entire project on hold and decide what to do a bit later. πŸ™‚

Open The Gates and Load Those Trains!!! (Pictures)

I guess a long update is in store, huh? *sheepish grin*

Well, let’s see. Hmm. My last update was last…Monday night I think? So okay. What happened since?

Tuesday – The Grove. It was AWESOME. I had a good time, saw some cool people. Got to see Emily which is always pleasant. The Power Point went off (almost) without a hitch. πŸ™‚ Only bad thing is that Jon C. wasn’t there. I was hoping to see him. It’s fun watching him get “drunk” off of communion. πŸ˜‰

Wednesday – Life Group. I was starting to feel really crappy, so I was very lethargic during the entire group meeting. Although the discussion was good, I was still tired. Went to Walgreens, got some meds, and knocked myself out.

Thursday – Craig, Theresa, and Rob came over and we chilled out and ate. Good times. Rob played with my new camera. It was fun. πŸ™‚ Craig is SO funny. I LOVE his dry humor. Except… he says he’s being serious. o.O

Friday – Craig and Lauren came over and we watched movies and hung out and ate. It was really nice to see Lauren again, it had been a while since we’d hung out. Golden Girls, OMG. Chris made us watch it (until Craig arrived and yelled “I’m not watching the effin’ Golden Girls!”) and I laughed so hard I CRIED!!

Tony (Sophia’s cheating boyfriend): I don’t know what to say.
Sophia: I’ll tell you what to say. Say OUCH! *smacks with purse*

Aidan was out of CONTROL Friday night. OH MY GOD. He was sooo hilarious!!! You have to see these videos to understand how silly my little boy is:

It was a crazy night.

Saturday: Had a lazy day. Caught up on my email and made plans to go with Craig up to Cedar Point. Called Lauren and invited her, she was a GO. Called Amy H, but she declined. πŸ™ We went to Chad and Christy’s to pop in at Chad’s birthday party. Who should arrive but Molly B and her ADORABLE little boy Peyton!!! He and Aidan adore each other and just play and play. So cute and precious, they are. πŸ™‚

The party was pretty good. We didn’t stay long, but I had a good time while I was there.

A few pictures…

Hi & Stuff.

Today was Harry Potter mail day!

Firstly, I got a WAND! From Alivan’s! Yes, I have a genuine wand and it’s so sweet. I’ve been swishing and flicking and trying to produce a Patronus, but with no such luck.

It was a present from Chris as congratulations on my new job.

Secondly, Ivy (swankivy) sent me a Ravenclaw badge and a Harry Potter pencil. THANKS IVY! πŸ˜€ Harry Potter rules. Hahaha.

Had an okay weekend. I did get to talk to Amy (liesandpromises) and Helen (pixiedash) a lot which is always good. We had the worst fly infestation ever, though. Ew. I think they started in one of Aidan’s old diapers. GROSS. At any rate, it was horrible. We probably had at least 50+ flies in our house this weekend, and ew. I just don’t want to think about it anymore. I think we got it all taken care of and it’s good now. No more buzzing in our house.

Friday night, I hung out at Rob’s with his brother and his friend from school named Brad. Josh S bought us all pizza. Yummm. We watched Boondock Saints again. I LOVE that movie and I must own. I mean, come on. Hot Irish guys with sexy accents, liberal usage of the word FUCK and lots of guns and violence. What’s not to love?

Quote of the night: “Hey bitches, come get some pizza.” – Josh S.

Seriously, it’s a wonderful movie and I am going to buy it soon. Probably the same time I buy Hitch and Meet the Fockers. All movies I’ve seen with Rob. Hmmm, interesting coincidence, eh?

Hmm. I destroyed the side of the SUV (whoops) on Saturday. Hung out with Chad for a bit and Christy yesterday. Church was neat, I got to see people I hadn’t seen in a while like Kim and Katie P. πŸ™‚ Oooh, ooh, and Jon C gave me a kiss on the cheek. *swoons* I got a nice big hug from Joshua A too. He makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. πŸ™‚ Besides, PJ was back and it was SO GOOD to hear him speak again. Even though he spoke at The Grove last Tuesday too.

After church, I went to a baby shower for a good friend from college and saw some people I hadn’t seen in YEARS. It was awesome, strolling down memory lane. Boy were we some drama-addicts even back then. Haha. Good times, though. I’ll try to post pics later.

I went to the park yesterday and took pictures. Tried to relax and let God talk to me, ya know? I saw some fascinating plants and bugs. I watched the ants working in this huge old tree and it was amazing how organized they were. I enjoyed my time there. Don’t know if I’ll be going back. The ranger caught me speeding as I was leaving and tried to chase me. I’d gotten out before he could get me, though. Oops.

I’ll go to a different park next time. πŸ™‚

My writing course has begun and I like it already! Wheee!

I just finished a book called Perfect by Natalie Friend. It’s mindblowing. I mean, she captures the teen voice perfectly. I can’t describe it any other way. I sent her an email telling her how much I loved the book and asking if she was planning on writing more. The only thing is that it might be a trigger for those with eating disorders. Otherwise, it was good. Very good. I recommend it highly.

Perfect was kind of serious, so switching gears to the latest Georgia Nicholson was hard! It still is. She is still as silly and immature as ever. I’m sure I’ll get into it okay once my mind switches over. I’ve been reading so much YA Fiction lately that I’m having a hard time differentiating between books. I guess I should do less reading and more writing, eh?

Speaking of, I finished two other books this past weekend. Royally Jacked, and Spin Control. Both of them were great, very funny, and nicely written. Had a fun and real voice. I’m looking forward to Niki’s next book as well. πŸ˜€ In fact, I’m wanting to read ALL the books with those fun covers!!

Oh my, I need to really get to writing so MY book can be on amazon with one of those fun covers!! πŸ˜€

Mmmm. LOVE reading YA Chicklit. It’s gooooood stuff.

I am bloody freezing. Excuse me while I turn off the ceiling fan.

Okay, much better. Had to get a blanky too.

Time to go start dinner. Later, dudes and dudettes and stuff.

The Decision’s (almost) Been Made

So, I’m 97% sure I’m going to take Aimzy (liesandpromises) up on her offer to visit her in Los Angeles. I’ve always wanted to go, it will coincide with a lot of other things, and will be loads of fun. I need to get away from here for a while and immerse myself in a whole new world.

I’m just waiting to hear back from her regarding the dates; if the ones I chose are okay or not.

I’m starting to get excited!!! πŸ˜€

Here is what I’d like to do there:

– Drive down Sunset Blvd.
– Take a picture of the Hollywood sign.
– Spot one celebrity.
– GO TO DISNEYLAND!!!
– OF COURSE, spend lots of quality time with Aimzy! Oooh, that will be so much fun! πŸ˜€

I hope I can pull it off. *prays* I hope I have enough money to do everything I want to do. Seriously, how amazing would it be to have visited Disneyworld during Disneyland’s 50th Anniversary celebration, but then to get to visit DISNEYLAND too!! Oh wow. Wow wow wow. Characters, parades, shows. MAGIC!!

SQUEEEEEEEE!!!

ETA: I am 100% sure and beside myself with excitement!! CALIFORNIA, HERE I COME!! πŸ™‚ Only a month and a half away! DOUBLE SQUEEEE!
