You Just Think All Black Cats Look Alike! (Pictures)

What started out as kind of a stressful day ended up being pretty okay. πŸ™‚

Firstly, my desktop computer was acting up which freaked me the heck out. I knew I had my laptop, but I wanted my desktop to be functional as well. I finally did a cold reboot and ran virus scan and ad-aware and it’s doing fine. Found one infected file and 60 new pieces of spyware. That’s amazing considering I don’t use that computer nearly as often as this one!

I’m glad Kelle Belle (itskels) let me rant and rave to her on AIM while I was troubleshooting. πŸ˜€ She’s great. And funny, too. Whee.

So, that disaster resolved. I went to work on the finances. Yeah, thinking of that makes my stomach hurt. But there is hope. More on that later.

I got to talk to Aimzy (liesandpromises) online even though it was all my griping. She’s soooo totally amazing and cool, though. Why must she live all the way in California?

Went to my sister-in-law’s baby shower. Everyone is so excited because Kelly is carrying the first Davis girl to be spawned in years and years. Look how pretty she looks:

It was a nice party. I have so much fun with her. πŸ™‚ I’ve always thought of her as a sister, actually. πŸ™‚ I remember crying at her wedding and going “Hi, Sis.” She said “STOP CRYING OR YOU’LL MAKE ME CRY TOO!” Gotta love that.

Afterwards, we came back home. I read a bit, then chatted online with Rob. He made plans to join me at the party I was invited to for tonight. That made me happy. Then the phone rang. It was a Christian debt counselor. How ironic that I’d been freaking out over money/finances earlier that afternoon, and this lady calls? I knew we’d been referred to her, but I was beginning to think we’d never hear from her. Maybe God is listening and actually talking to me now. So we made an appointment to see her next Saturday afternoon (must remember to write it down in my planner). After I got off the phone with her, I worked on the special surprise for that certain someone. A bit after 8, I headed over to Chad and Christy’s to PARTAY to celebrate the 9 million June birthdays in our large circle of friends/fellow church-goers/family members/more! (Kim, Tina, Tyler – he wasn’t there but he does have a June birthday too-, Abbie, Nicki, Amy, Robbie, Chris, and lots more!) Here are a few pictures:

Christy, Laurie, and Jenny

Abbie (one of the birthday girls), looking like she belongs in a magazine or something. Real Simple, me thinks.

This is me after smoking an Ohm, having 1/4 of a Jello shot (made with Everclear!), and a green apple Smirnoff.
(I am such a lightweight, I know!)

My favorite quote of the night came from Chad Sr:

“You just think all black cats look alike.”

Hmm, let’s see. One guy got his head shaved, Aidan was the LIFE of the party times nine, cartwheels were being done on the grass, and LOTS of picture taking. They had two of the BIGGEST pizzas I’d ever seen!!! $20 each, and they were…omg, I should have taken a picture of the boxes. Unreal. But so yummy. Lots of other yummy stuff to eat too. And of course, the people helped make it great. It was so good to see my friends again (it had been awhile, what with me missing/skipping church and The Grove), especially Abbie and Robbie and so on. πŸ™‚

I’m reading a book called Pop Princess by Rachel Cohn. Very addicting and edgy. I like it. I’d been wanting to read it for a while and it just happened to be in the library Friday when I was browsing. I was pretty stoked to see it on the shelf–I grabbed it right away.

Have I ever mentioned how much I love going to the library? Or bookstores? Being surrounded by books is almost like magic for me.

Speaking of magic… DISNEY! My other favorite subject. I downloaded some Monorail sound clips. PLEASE STAND CLEAR OF THE DOORS! Yes, it excites me. Especially when I stop media player right after the “Please” to mimic the ones we rode that were malfunctioning. (The announcements, not the actual monorail). Ah, such fond memories.

Got to hang with Jennifer on Friday night. It had been a while since I’d seen her. SHE IS SO FUNNY. I love being with her. She brings out this goofy side of me and she has such a great laugh. I feel completely relaxed and at ease around her. That doesn’t happen with me and too many people. She’s a special one. I heart Jennifer.

I got glomped by dwagonfry!!! πŸ˜€ YAY! That made my weekend! Wheeee!

I think I’m going to read now. I want to lose myself in this book; it’s amazing. Plus, we’re going to Kings Island. I hope it’s not too crowded or more importantly, cold. It should be fun to take Aidan. He’s older now and can choose rides. Too bad Tina and Craig won’t be joining us this year–they were fun last year. Tina is great to take to amusement parks because she gets so much joy out of the smallest things. Well, there is always the fair. I’m going at least three times, as I do each year. (Provided I have money!)

Once with Kelle Belle (itskels), once with Chris and Aidan and hopefully Tina and Craig too, and once with Becky and whomever else we invite. I’ll try to spread my food consumption out over the three times. For sure I’m having:

– deep fried Twinkie w/powedered sugar and strawberry topping
– corn dog
– french fries
– philly cheese steak sammich
– roasted corn
– pizza

And I want to ride:

– Wave Swinger
– Scrambler
– Tilt-A-Whirl

Okay, that’s months away, so I will not think about it and get myself all excited yet. πŸ˜€ It’s just that I LOVE the Ohio State Fair! And the 2005 concert lineup is awesome this year!!! Ooh August 3rd, August 3rd…. πŸ˜€

Bed time. I’m all excited now but yeah. G’night!

PS You have to see this. SO FUNNY: http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/strawberry.php

So, Moving On… (Pictures)

After some weird entries, it’s time for a more Ronni-like entry, yes?

My Friday was pretty good. My boss has me working on a Power Point which is fun, fun fun. Creativity is always a happy thing for me. The day went pretty quickly. Traffic was GOOD for once! I mean, wow.

I got Aidan then went to the chiropractor. That’s where the hold up started. I was there for 40 minutes because she decided to adjust a million people before going over my X-rays with me. That kind of irritated me. So, I’m down to once a week, but I think that once my tractioning is over, I’m going to discontinue. The cost is significantly reduced, but I need to pay that credit card off and I HATE driving out there in the traffic and rush hour! I did have my evalation and that reverse curve in my neck is almost fixed. Yay.

Threw a little something-something for Tyler’s birthday. It was like a typical Friday Night (TM) but with a few more people and more sweets. Here’s the birthday boy himself (with his new sweet camera):

Apparently, the party was too boring for Becky:

Just kidding. She’s used to a 9:30pm bedtime these days, so she was pretty conked out.

A close up of Brian.

We had spaghetti and watched Momento. What a weird movie. Great writing and cinematography, though.

So now it’s Saturday and I have no plans. I need to get an oil change, but I think I will wait til next payday for that. The bills are kicking my a$$ and I also got stuff at Meijer. So now I guess I’ll start to clean my contribution to the mess in my bedroom. And be amused that Aidan is putting on moon boots when it’s really bloody hot outside! Then I think I’ll work on some computer and non-computer projects. Yippee. πŸ™‚

See ya later!

Good times, wedding and stuff! :) (Pictures)

My Saturday ended up being really great! πŸ˜€

Started off that I got up early ON MY OWN! I got up about 9:40ish. Chris was leaving to get Aidan, so I finished the 3rd A-List novel. Then I got ready and ran some errands before heading over to the cute little church at the Ohio Historical Society for John B. & Sara’s wedding. Weddings always make me a bit sad for several reasons, but Sara looked adorable. Plus the wedding was just wacky. Weird music, they busted a lot of traditions which is always good. Their version of ‘Here Comes The Bride’ was amazing.

Afterwards, Emily thrust a can of silly string at me and demanded that I spray them. Seeing as I had a handful of birdseed and my camera, I knew this would be a trick. But I pulled it off and MY silly string didn’t get on the bride or groom and stain their pretty white clothes! πŸ˜€

The reception was fun. Here is me and the gorgeous bride:

I sat with Emily and Bizzy and we ate and took pictures and hung out. The fun began once everyone truly relaxed and mingled and the dancing started! πŸ˜€ I danced with Jon C., Krista, Emily, Bizzy, Monica, and the other Emily! It had been a long time since I danced with my friends. It was awesome!

I had a great time, and John and Sara are totally made for each other. Check out this picture:

Yeah. The tongues hanging out of their mouths is a true indication there. πŸ™‚ WHO DOES THAT? HAHAHA.

One of the highlights of my night was singing “Pour Some Sugar On Me” at the top of my lungs along with Bizzy as I was taking her home. WOW. This is me being a dork, but I always dreamed of singing a song really loudly with a girlfriend while driving at night (a la Crazy by Aerosmith video). I got that wish tonight! πŸ™‚ Then, spending time with Emily S is always amazing. Always. πŸ˜€ And swinging on the twirly swing with Tyler and Krista was sooo much fun and crazy. I stopped once one of the swings hit me in the face! EEK!

Afterwards, Rob, Monica, Emily and another Emily, Becky, Tyler and I went and watched Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. GREAT MOVIE. Pretty different from the book, but still good. The actresses they got to play those parts were perfect. Especially Bridget–I didn’t think girls really looked like her. Then we all hung out at Emily S’s house and well, hung out. Played with our cameras, played on the computer (I have never seen Emily so emotional!), shot the breeze. Good times, good times.

I love being with my friends. They make me so happy. πŸ˜€

G’night!

My Vacation (Pictures)/Lessons Learned

Just got back from another vacation. Not as amazing as Disney, but it did have its good points:

– I got to see very pretty mountains!
– I got to SHOP (very important). πŸ™‚
– Stores on the Cherokee American Indian Reservation are awesome. I got the cutest hat!

Here are some pictures:

Me at the Tennessee/North Carolina state line

The Chimney Tops

Me, in Gatlinburg. Check out the hat! πŸ™‚

OMFG.

Not sure if I want to go back. It was a cool one-time thing, but honestly, I prefer Disney. πŸ™‚

(Besides, the internet connection there was HORRIBLE. It was dial-up, but horrendous. VERY VERY VERY SLOW. Ugh. The one in Disney was at least stable!)

I learned a few things while I was there. Not pretty, either.

– People will use you ’til you’re sucked dry. The sad thing is that they either don’t know they’re doing it, or they do, see how it affects you, and still don’t give a shit. I’m not sure which is worse.
– Most care only about themselves and their own agendas. And if it means hurting someone (namely me) to get that agenda solved, then so be it.
– People lie to themselves. Ridiculously.

I think it’s time for me to start making changes. Again. I’m tired of drama, of being hurt, of feeling like I’ll never be “good enough.” Screw it. I’m good enough for Aidan and that’s quite adequate.

Argh. Work tomorrow. I need to get to bed soon; I’m tired. Lots of time in the car over the past few days. I’m ready for a hot bath, then glorious sleep. But maybe some spaghetti first. ‘Til next time…

Winding Down (Pictures)

Today = Last Full Day at Disneyworld. πŸ™

We totally took it easy today. Didn’t get to Magic Kingdom ’til about one o’clock. The bus ride there was less than pleasant. The bus was crowded (even though we’d snuck over to All-Star Music and got on before the All-Star Movie people) and I had to stand. The bus was very hot and I started to feel sick. Chris (who was sitting with Aidan) noticed and jumped up and made me take his seat. I would have puked had he not done that; he said I was starting to turn green!

We got to the park and once I was outside, I felt better. We went into Magic Kingdom and got some Photopass pictures taken. πŸ™‚ On our way to lunch, we met up with the Queen of Hearts by the Mad Tea Party:

See, she’s a villian, but even she couldn’t resist Aidan’s cuteness! She was very nice to him, but mean to Chris, hahahaha! πŸ˜€

Then we ate at my favorite Magic Kingdom place–the Starlight Cafe. It was a MADHOUSE! It took me a long time to find a seat! But the food was very yummy, as always. Then we went to Belle’s Storytime. Guess who I got to meet:

*GRIN!* After Belle, Chris took me back to Ariel’s Grotto. The line was really long, but it was worth it, she was beautiful:

We also got to meet Peter Pan and Wendy (no pictures for that one yet, Chris only took one of Aidan with them), and after that, we walked around some more. It was really hot today, and I think it was because we were out during peak sun time. Usually I’m napping during that time!

Exhausted, we headed back to the buses, but stopped in a few stores and the Photopass place on the way out. I got to meet–okay, I’m not even sure of his name, but I’m sure he’s from Robin Hood? Can anyone clue me in? There was no line and he was cool:

Aidan got a last glimpse of Goofy before we headed out.

I am worn out, and I guess I’m ready to go home. Hungry for a burger from the Starlight Cafe, but that’ll have to wait ’til next year! πŸ˜€

Check out tomorrow is at 11:00am, and The Magical Express will be here to pick us up at 12:10 pm. We’re thinking of popping into Animal Kingdom for a couple of hours, but if that doesn’t happen, I won’t be too disappointed. We’ve had quite a full trip already!

Time to start packing. πŸ™ ‘Til next time…
