You know…

I’d like to set up a little workstation type thingy for me. A place I can plop my laptop if I need to, but mainly a desk for doing non-computer stuff. Bills, correspondence, notetaking, compromising grocery and to do lists, that sort of thing. A filing cabinet omgforsureforsure. I know I can get a desk fairly cheap (esp from Walmart), and we have chairs. The question is where would I put it? I’d love to have it downstairs in the family room, but really, that cannot happen. That room is a falldown mess as it is. The last thing we need is another piece of furniture, and besides, it would just become a catch all in there. No, the family room wouldn’t work. Dining room? Hmm. I don’t know. It’s Aidan’s playroom. He might find the desk to be a nice place to play. Not such a good idea.

The living room? Hmm, that’s a possibility. But I’d be isolated. Maybe that’s not a bad thing. Except–if we don’t get AC this summer, I’ll swelter in there. And it takes a LOT for me to get hot. Soooo, I’m not sure. I’m really liking the idea of having another place to do work on. There just isn’t any room. Yes, I know. A 2300 square foot house and no room for a measley little student desk. The shame. Heh.

Moving on…

Did you guys see the new Nationwide commercial starring MC Hammer? Isn’t it the greatest? I laughed forever after watching it. I saw it Thursday, of course. ‘Cause I’m special like that. πŸ˜‰

Mmmm. I should try to sleep. I really want to be rested for the crazy week I have ahead of me. Of course, I may be taking another day off–my poor little booba is sick! He’s got a cold. Now, I know Chris’s mom will take good care of him and all, but I really like being with him when he’s sick. We’ll see. Maybe I’ll do 1/2 day or something. Oh, my poor baby.

I might be back if the Benadryl capsule doesn’t kick in soon enough. πŸ™‚ But if not, g’night!

A Little Bit Tired…

I’m exhausted. My body is SCREAMING for rest. Unfortunately, my mind is refusing to take heed. I lay there, wide awake with my heart racing before I gave up and got on here. I got up at 815am, having only slept for about 3.5 hours. Whew.

My back is aching. I could use a short nap, but I have a feeling it won’t happen. I’m hungry too; that might be why I can’t fall asleep.

Today was busy–nonstop. Grove Newsletter meeting from 9-10. Went very well, I’m excited about the newsletter. 10-11, Jenny, Christie, and I ended up talking. Church was from 11:15 to 12:45 or so. Then lunch from 1-2. Then 2-3 was fellowshipping with some of the girls in the Bible Study. Study was from 3-5. I am worn out. Drained. And yet, I cannot fall asleep. What is wrong with this picture? THIS IS NOT NORMAL.

Meh. I’m going to try it again.

Seinfeld Night!

In my opinion, Seinfeld Night was a great success. I am so grateful to Craig for being a good sport and hosting it. Joshua A came up with the idea last week at Buffalo Wild Wings during lunch. We planned it for Saturday night and was it ever fun.

I don’t even really CARE for Seinfeld. But there’s something about watching it with a bunch of friends that makes it extra funny. Personally, I like the stand up bits he does at random points throughout the show more than the actual sitcom part.

Joshua, Tina, Mr. Matt, Chris, Aidan, Craig, Rog, Bizzy, Josh S, Tyler, and I were there. πŸ™‚ Chris made pizza quesadillas in the Quesadilla Maker I got him for Christmas and man, they were YUMMMY. He totally made the recipe up but they were incredible. Craig had chips out the wazoo and Ho-hos and lots to drink. Gooood times, man. Good food, too. πŸ™‚

After we watched 10 episodes of Seinfeld, some people watched SNL in Craig’s room and the rest of us put Napolean Dynamite on in the living room. Most excellent. I had a great time, laughed a lot, and took a few pictures. I have a ton to upload–I think I’ll do them next week. Aidan and Chris are going out of town Wednesday night, so yeah. I’ll have some time to do that and some writing projects too.

I’ve seen Rob and Bizzy more times than I can count last week and it was awesome. I got to see Becky too, which was totally a pleasant surprise! I had a good week, socially. I love my friends dearly. Man, there are so many who I need to catch up with. Katie P (live4himalways), Megan S (megnita), Irena, and Kelle Belle (itskels) – thankfully I’m having lunch with her late next week.

I guess I’m pretty happy right now. I slept all day Saturday which felt really good, but is kind of bad now because I’m awake and I need to be up early for a meeting at church. 9-10 the meeting is. I thought I might be spending the whole day there, but I don’t think so. I think I’ll go to the meeting, come home, sleep, then head back for the “small group” meeting from 3-5. If I do what I’d planned on doing:

9am-10am meeting
10-11am Sunday School
11:15-1pm – church
1-3pm: lunch
3-5pm: study

…I’d be a totally exhausted wreck. So I’m making some executive decisions and going from there.

I’d better try to sleep. Well, maybe after a couple of games of Boggle. Later! πŸ™‚
