Happy! (Pictures)

It’s Friday! πŸ™‚ It’s Payday! I’m smiling! YAY! ♥

I had my year-end review yesterday. You know how I freak out over those, but it went really well. There were some “needs developments” but they were because I was/am new, not because I was/am BAD. Which is great because I love my job, I love what I do, I love the people I work with. She told me to keep doing what I’m doing. But I want to be even better.

So, I mentioned that the aquatic dwellers in my house have a new home. I waited for all the dust to settle before I took pictures, and this morning, the tank was crystal clear. Here it is:

I’m very happy with it. I just need to clean the dang house (we had to rearrange some furniture to accommodate the tank and stand), and I’ll be even happier!

Yes, the house is once again a fall-down mess. Chris said he’ll help clean this weekend, but he’s sick (has what Aidan had), and I know it takes about four days to cycle through the system. I’m going to get Aidan to pick up his stuff because seriously, it’s everywhere. He needs to learn to pick up everything before he goes to bed.

Parenting is HARD. The biggest challenge is trying to maintain consistency. Some nights, I’m just too tired to follow through, although that is easier than trying to establish routines. So yeah. I don’t want Aidan to grow up a spoiled hoodlum, so I do my best. I just worry that my best isn’t always good enough.

It’s raining outside now. Warm, but rainy. Welcome to Spring in Ohio.

Randomly, here is a pic of my beautiful friend Libby and me. πŸ˜€

Aren’t we cute?

I am hungry, and I think I’m going to buy a grilled ham and cheese sammich for lunch. 😑 Hey, I’ll have to go off them soon enough, so I might as well enjoy it now, huh? *sigh* That’s going to be hard, but maybe not so much. If I take my lunch every day, it will be less tempting to buy. In theory anyway.

Things to do:

· schedule an eye appointment
· refill meds
· get ahold of the Smashing Pumpkins song that talkes about being in a rage and being a rat in a cage
· set April writing goals
· pay bills
· attempt to reduce the volume of emails in my AOL inbox (I haven’t even checked my other accounts lately!)

Time to eat lunch!!! πŸ˜€

‘Til next time….

Just Quickly…

1. Libby is AWESOME!! <3
2. Buy Saving Jane NOW.
3. I finally saw The Notebook and A Walk To Remember. πŸ™‚ I liked them both very much, and I got the books today.
4. I got into trouble at Barnes and Noble again today. I can’t help it. I love books too much!
5. I own Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Can’t wait to watch it!!! Yea for Diggory! Oh yeah, and Potter too. πŸ˜€
6. I am way behind on emails, Live Journal comments, message boards, writing. I’ll try to get back on track soon.
7. I was going to rip my new CDs so I could listen to them at work tomorrow, but I’m too tired, and I have a headache, so I’ll do it tomorrow. It’s bedtime!

‘Til next time!

POOP!

I hate when I squeeze my brain to produce words and I realize that because of some later research, I have to scrap them all because what I wrote is not accurate.

BOO!!!!

FYI:

Last night I:

– Made bacon and hot cereal (Malt-O-Meal)
– Went downstairs and chilled in the (now just slightly lived-in) family room
– Wrote and watched the OC. WAY too much of The OC.
– Read

Tonight, I will:

– Write
– Watch more of The OC
– Finish reading The DaVinci Code

:D

A Good Day

The cats tried to wake me up at 5am today. I was having none of that. I rolled over and slept until about 7, which is when I usually get up. I rolled over again and got up a bit after 9am. Nice.

I took a long bath, played on the computer, and got all dolled up (not really) for my massage. And the MASSAGE. Oh my God. It was 90 minutes of heaven. She really worked out some tough kinks. I still feel extremely relaxed and ready for either a nap or a Yoga session. I went to Gentle Wind, which is a new-age type center. They have lots of neat things to buy, and I picked up some crystals, a Tai-Chi DVD, some incense, a faerie figurine, and a surprise for Ivy (swankivy). Now, I’m kind of farting around, doing laundry, and trying to make some decisions.

Decision #1 – What to eat?
– Order a pizza
– Make spaghetti
– Make bacon and hot cereal
– Cold cereal

Decision #2 – Location
– Do I want to go downstairs and chill out in the (CLEAN) family room, or stay up here in the bedroom?
– Do I want to go shopping later or stay home, where it’s warm?

Decision #3 – Activities
– Write
– Watch The OC
– Nap
– Yoga or Pilates or Tai Chi
– Read
– Take it easy

Man, if only life were always like this. :)

!!!! Revisited

On November 21, 2005, I posted an OMG post, and promised you details soon.

Soon is NOW.

In November, I got the opportunity to speak with literary agent Ethan Ellenberg. He’s such a great guy and had a lot of nice things to say about my book. The revisions (which there weren’t many at all) were things I was completely on board with. I mailed them to him and waited relatively patiently for him to get back to me. I heard from him over the weekend. He’s happy with my revisions and wants to move forward! πŸ™‚

Today, I am officially signing with The Ethan Ellenberg Literary Agency. I am honored and excited to be working with such a great agent!

I’m still in a state of shock/disbelief/excitement. πŸ™‚

Today is a GOOD day.
