life

I have discovered the iTMS radio. And it is good.

Today when I got Aidan home, he kept whispering “cookie.” So I gave him some cookies. Then he pointed to the TV and said “People.” So now he’s watching Little People! πŸ™‚ He’s speaking more and more, yay!

I’m soooo sooo tired. I could do for a nice long nap. Luckily, Chris is home from work early tonight. I can accidentally fall asleep on the couch and not feel guilty. πŸ˜‰

I had my 90 day evaluation at the chiropractor’s today. She said there is a 40% improvement in my subloxation. Those results are not typical, so I’m doing really well! I know, healthwise, except for the not getting enough sleep/eating enough part, I’m feeling better. When I catch colds, I don’t stay sick nearly as long as I used to, and I use no medicine. Good times.

I am officially down to 105 pounds now. With clothes. Yippeeee! I totally SWIM in my size 6 pants from Old Navy. Maybe I should have asked for gift cards to clothing stores for Christmas. I’m running out of pants that fit!

Speaking of… I should do laundry at some point tonight.

I got my new Tiffany necklace yesterday! Only one week after I sent in my broken one. I have no plans to take this one off much at all. No more risk of it breaking. I have how many of those pretty little blue boxes now?

I love Tiffany jewelry.

Wow. I actually feel happy today. This is a good thing! πŸ˜€ I’m going to wallow in the good feelings now. Later!

Turkey For Lunch Is Never A Good Thing

A word of advice. If you’re already very tired, don’t eat turkey for lunch. It doesn’t help the condition at all.

My hair. Oh my word. It’s just not cute at all. It refuses to hold any sort of curl, and it’s kind of puffy and really not good. So I have to get something done to that sometime soon. I don’t want to look like a lion or something. At least it’s soft, though.

My left lens on my glasses was all wobbly. But I took it over to the eye doctors and they fixed it right up for me. For free! πŸ™‚

I am so tired! I know there is good reason why, but still. I don’t like it. I want to go see Garth play tonight at Dennison University, but I don’t know if I’ll have the energy to do so!

I stayed up pretty late last night. There was The Grove, which was nice, as always. Amy showed up, which was a pleasant surprise. And Tina too. The only missing link was Kim. I’m guessing she had to work. But Monica was there, and the “crew” went to Steak and Shake again afterwards. I, or I should say TAMI took some pictures with my camera. I’ll try to have them up soon. Rob took lots of pictures with Tyler’s camera, so I’ll ask him to send copies of those along to me if he’d be so kind. YAY. Steak and Shake! YAY! My friends!

It was a crazy night there at Steak and Shake. The participants were Monica, Rob, Tyler, Kelly P, Garth, Tami, me, and then Matt B who came quite a bit late. We thought Tina was coming, but she never showed. πŸ™ I can’t even remember all the funny stuff that went on, and I was hoping I could. I do know that everything regarding Rob was “hot.” And that he drank BBQ sauce through a straw. That was digusting, but funny as hell. He also sprinkled pepper sauce all over the rest of my sourdough toast and ate it. He’s adventurous. At one point, there was a wager regarding that pepper sauce. Tyler said he’d give Monica X amount of dollars to eat three of the peppers. Monica said “You’ve got money. I want $300!” I love her. She’s so funny. Oh, and there was Tami’s Side by Side – eggnog and white chocolate. ICK!!! The only part that sucked (for me) was when the talk turned to politics. Ugh. I tend to shut down when that happens. I don’t say anything because it’s kind of understood–within the group–if you throw something out there, be prepared to take the backlash. It’s easier for me to avoid the backlash altogether. I hate arguing polictics.

Matt played a few songs on the jukebox for us. Beach Boys, Pink Floyd, The Doors. Tyler and Rob did a silly dance which I caught on film. Poor Garth was falling asleep at the table. Matt complimented me on my purse and remarked that guys should be able to carry purses. πŸ™‚ After we were outside, Rob not only picked up Tami’s car with her in it again, but he picked up MY car with ME in it. He said he doesn’t like mine because it’s too “sharp.” So I told him not to do it anymore if it was going to hurt.

It was a good time, as always. My friends make me smile. πŸ˜€

So Bloody Tired…

I went to bed (relatively) early last night. I slept a few extra minutes this morning. So why am I exhausted? I’m falling asleep here, trying to force my eyes to stay open. Why is it that I can stay up until 5am, get 1.5 hours of sleep, and be fine all day, but when I sleep like a “normal” person, I feel as if I would be very happy curling up and taking a nice long nap right now?

Strange.

I’m in the process of having a long day. Work, Aidan, gas, chiropractor, Craig’s, The Grove, then ???

I wonder what I should have for lunch today, if anything?

I didn’t look at the Northern Lights. I grabbed my teddy bear, cuddled with Lucy, and went to sleep.

OH GOSH. I NEED RED BULL LIKE STAT. I’ll be just fine once I have a can of that. πŸ˜€

And yes, that was a pointless nothing entry.

$5,269,658

$5,269,658.

The members of Heritage Christian Church committed $5,269,658 for our building expansion compaign. Our membership has grown in leaps and bounds over the past few years. When I first started attending, there were two services. Both on Sunday: 930am and 1115pm. A 6pm Saturday service was added sometime last year, and earlier this year, they’ve added an 815am Sunday service. I am gobsmacked at the impact this church has on lives. It’s had quite the impact on mine.

Church was cool today. I saw a lot of my friends. I get overwhelmed because their are so many people I want to sit and talk to and there is never any time. Lunch afterwards helps some, but I do wish I could have more quality time with my friends.

Kelly P had on the best orange golashes ever. I wish I’d taken a picture of her in them. πŸ™‚

This time change is really screwing with me. akfjlafjklafjl! It’s so dark out, and I feel like it should be about 9pm, but it’s really not even 7pm. Oh gosh. As much of a night owl I am, I HATE the longer nights and shorter days.

While we were coming home from dinner last night, we spotted a house all decorated for Christmas. Chris was complaining and saying they were being stupid. In hindsight, I realize he was jealous. He and Aidan went off to Meijer and came back with all kinds of decorations and lights and then he PUT THEM UP. Luckily, they are not lit yet, but still. *shakes head* He even got one of the inflatable Poohs. Aidan looks at him at goes “bah.” πŸ™‚ :O

Alright. I’m at Chad and Christy’s now and I’m going to take off and get back home so I can get stuff done. Monday Monday Monday is looming. I need to do laundry, shower, do hair, get stuff ready for work. Later, gators! πŸ™‚

Meh.

Thursday morning. I’m running on 3.5 hours of sleep. Beggar’s Night is tonight. It shouldn’t take too much energy to sit on the porch and pass out candy.

Last year this time, the Aurora Borealis was reaching all the way to Ohio. The sky was turning all kinds of reds and greens. It was incredible. Last night, there was a full lunar eclipse. It’s always cool to see those. I wonder if there will be astronomical phenomenon every year this time. I hope so. I love astronomy.

The Corn Maze was okay. Aidan loved it. Our group got out in 32 minutes. WITHOUT cheating. Of course, we didn’t do any of the special things either, like finding all the stamps or answering all the questions. Then we made s’mores and drank cider and chatted. I felt very lonely there even though I was surrounded by people and talking to them.

Randomness. I’m moving desks at work. I’m going back to the desk I sat at when I first became an administrative secretary. Interesting how things work out, huh? More randomness. I had lunch yesterday with a guy I worked with in Individual Annuities. THEN I ran into my old boss from IA, and he gave me a hug. That was nice.

The President is going to be at Nationwide Arena tomorrow. Again. BAH. I usually enjoy the Friday morning commute because so many people take off on Fridays. So traffic is really light. That may not be the case tomorrow.

A new writing club is forming at Nationwide, and the first meeting is this afternoon. I am so there. πŸ™‚

Alrighty, then. I guess this is all for now.
