Ooozy Wooozy

I took Nyquil last night to help me sleep and I don’t think it’s completely worn off yet. It’s kind of a good thing because I am totally mellow right now. And not so sleepy, although I could sleep if given the opportunity.

I’ve fallen off the wagon AGAIN. I ate McDonalds for dinner last night. But starting today, the McDonalds fast is on again. And the Wendy’s fast is still in effect–I don’t think that one will be hard to stick to. Wendy’s is not my favorite place by any means.

I went and saw the Christmas Whatchamacallit last night. It was very nice. My favorite part was the “baggage” skit. Those of you who were there will know what I’m taking about. And the last testimony was awesome as well. I’m sure Chris will rope me into going again with him tonight, but I told him I’ll see. I’m tired and really want to sleep all evening. But I can’t!!

I’m so busy. I have so much to do yet. Chris wrapped a good amount of the gifts last night, except the awkwardly shaped ones – FIGURES! I have mixed feelings about that. See, I used to LOVE wrapping presents, but I haven’t been getting into it so much the past couple of years. So while I am happy not to have that chore weighing on me, I am kind of sad too because I do like to do it when I’m in the right mood.

Christmas is drawing near. I don’t have much shopping left to do. Only Tina, Ivy, and Mommy remain, I think. πŸ™‚ WooHoo! Then, I’ll wrap the gifts and take a picture of the tree with all the presents underneath.

See, that’s another thing I need to do. I have pictures to upload. Boo. So much to do, not enough free time to do it. Wah.

I’m so D-Y-S-F-U-N-K-shanal!

(I say/write “so” a lot).

I’M SO GLAD IT’S THE WEEKEND. I hope I make it through today without pulling my hair out!

Tis The Season, Deck The Halls, and all that Jazz

I already know one present I’m getting. I must give Chris props. He ran all over town, looked online, everything to find this gift for me. The dang thing is sold out everywhere. You know how he found it?

He’d thought to himself: “I’ll bet no one in NEWARK watches The O.C.”

Newark = A small to midsized town in Ohio that is kind of known for… ahem, how can I put this? Um… well, put it this way. One trip through Newark will grant one the pleasure of seeing many mullets. All types.

Sure enough, The O.C. Season 1 on DVD was at the Target in Newark. THREE copies, as a matter of fact.

Wheeee.

I hope I get it for my birthday. Having it 5 days earlier sounds very nice. πŸ˜€

You know, I haven’t been listening to holiday music very much. Only when I turn it on 104.9, or if I’m home and decorating do I hear Christmas music. Seeing as I haven’t been home the past three, going to be four evenings (if I go to the Christmas Whatchamacallit tonight), no wonder Celine and Charlotte Church and Elvis and The Temptations and New Kids On The Block and all of those folks have been so quiet!

And I can’t find my Christina A Christmas CD. YIKES. This is a tragedy. That’s one of my favorites! πŸ™ I have an idea of where it might be–I have to find it.

I am in a much better place this year than I was last year. I’m excited about the holidays and about the 2390489573482957234987 gifts under the tree for me. And Aidan should have a blast this year. He’s going to get SO MUCH STUFF. It’s out of control. And people keep buying him things!

Saturday, Aidan is going to stay with his grandmommy for another week. This is perfect timing. I plan to get so much done next week. I hope I follow through on at least half of those plans. Like seriously cleaning. And making the house extra pretty for Christmas. Wrapping gifts. Working on my writing. And [insert surprise stuff here] to name a few. Hopefully I can find time to hang out with some friends as well.

What is it they say? Only 15 sleeps til Christmas? Or something like that? Heh.

What A Day!

WHY did I just realize that Jimi Hendrix was left handed and therefore played the guitar “backwards?”

I’m at Garth’s after a very cool small group. And when I say small, I mean SMALL. Garth, Tyler, me, Mr. Matt, Christy, and Tami (who breezed in when it was almost over) discussed the first two chapters of “Searching for God Knows What” by Donald Miller. A random conversation for a random kind of book.

So yeah. Let’s backtrack a bit. Like, to the beginning of my day. I woke up to a stomach that was still PIST (haha, yoimemily), so I took 1/2 day off of work.

(HOLY CRAP Jimi Hendrix is awesome. I’ve only discovered it 487589572 years after everyone else but that’s okay).

Anyway, I took 1/2 day off of work and slept until 10am. That felt good. Then I went to my counseling and then to work. My boss had sent me an urgent thingamabobber to send to some distribution lists that I needed to create. I took the liberty to edit the document before sending it. He said he appreciated that, although he barely glanced at it before I sent it. I know it was awesome, though. I need to be an editor or something.

So… work ended and I was looking forward to putting air in that dang tire and heading to Discount Tires to get it fixed or something. Well, the air hose at the ONLY DANG BP downtown was taken by this guy who was taking forever, and I’d told the guys at the place I’d be there by 4:30. I knew it wasn’t that far to the tire place, so I decided to chance it.

BAD IDEA!

I had a nice blowout on the highway. I freaked out, pulled over to the side of the road, and called a couple of people. Christy agreed to come and get me and we’d figure out what to do from there. In the meantime, I’d gotten myself together and called Hyundai Roadside Assistance. While on the phone with them, a lieutenant pulled up and checked on me. He went to his car and called the Highway People to come and help me out. Hyundai dispatched someone for me, and then another cop came along and complimented me on how nicely I handled the flat and pulled over and such. Heh.

The Highway people were there in like 10 or 15 minutes and then Christy pulled up right after. The guy changed my flat, then he stopped traffic so Christy and I could merge onto the freeway. FOR FREE. How sweet is that??

So, I went to the tire store, and I’d already planned on getting 4 tires. The ones I wanted; they only had one of. The guy gave me the next step up for the price of the ones I wanted to buy. πŸ™‚ How awesome is that! So now I have 4 brand new tires… NO MORE FILLING UP WITH AIR EVERY 2 DAYS.

So, that was my funnykindof story today.

Tami came to small group with good news–we have a new sister in Christ! YES! Awesome. Good good times. πŸ˜€

OH, but the bad thing is that I broke my McDonalds pact. πŸ™ I was starving and that was within walking distance of the tire place.

IT WAS SO GOOD

Holy crap it was good. I INHALED that stuff. I hope I don’t get sick from it later….

Good night (for now)!

ETA: THIS IS FREAKIN’ COOL! CLICKY!

Knocking On Your Thought Door

Have you been naughty or nice?

Had fun tonight at Game Night. I GOT TO SEE TINA!! πŸ˜€ And I got to see all of her model horses–they are sooo cool. I’m trying not to get too intrigued. The last thing I need is ANOTHER addiction/hobby/thing to spend money on.

I didn’t play much–only a couple of games of Uno Attack. I hung with Kelly P and Tina and Garth most of the night. Always fun, always good. Especially the “magnetic dressmeup David thingy.” Haha. And the shenanigans with Aidan. Kelly P is so fun! And Garth’s new name is Begonia.

I’m so excited that Tina is moving relatively close to me! πŸ™‚

I think I ate too much junk food. I’m paying for it now. My tummy is NOT happy with me at all. πŸ™

“Sucks Coffeeoffee House”

ETA: it’s actually “Sucks Coffeeompany.” Good thing Kelly P has a better memory than I.

I can’t believe it’s already almost one. Bugger. Work again, coming too soon.

I’m starting to really hate it there. πŸ™ But I NEED the money.

I have so much homework to do. I have to read two chapters in the book the small group is going through: Searching For God Knows What. Then I was supposed to do an assignment for counseling which I haven’t done yet. Meep. And although MOST of the Christmas cards have gone out, I still have quite a few to finish. I actually need to buy another box! I have to go shopping, I have small group, I have to watch Aidan, chiro appointments. And email some folks.

YIKES!

And my stomach is pissed.

I’m so busy!!

Night!
