I just watched Aidan take a cup with a tiny bit of pop in it and dump it all over a desk. I ran over and turned off the computer and told him he needed to clean it up or he wouldn’t get to play games. He started crying, and he really was sorry–he said he dumped it out because it was “old” and that he was sorry. I gently explained to him that if there is something old, he needs to dump it into the sink, not on a desk!

Since he genuinely didn’t know, I let him play games again. I really did think he was being naughty when I saw him do that, though.

In other news, last week, I was offered a copyeditor job at Zaner-Bloser, and I accepted. I start the week after next. I’m really excited, because that means a LOT more proofreading and live/dead checks. I LOVE that stuff. πŸ™‚ It’s also a bit more money. So, yay! πŸ˜€

Thursday and Friday, either I had a cold or allergies that were kicking my behind. I was miserable! Sore throat, weak, fatigued. I slept and slept and slept. All better now, though. πŸ™‚

Spent the weekend in Illinois. Friday and Saturday were in Peru-LaSalle to attend a wedding. “Interesting” ceremony. It was great seeing my cousins. I adore those people. Open bar at the reception. I had a Long Island and the most lovely frozen amaretto sour. I was happy. Saturday night, headed up to my favorite city in the world. Woke up Sunday morning at the insanely early hour of 7am CST, finished reading New Moon by Stephenie Meyer. Got to hang out with adamselzer a bit, and Jen too. Can I just say that I LOVE IHOP??? I had a Rooty Tooty Fresh and Fruity. Mmm. And I am PROUD to say it. Anyway, here are some pictures

No Point. Really.

I hate when I leave in the morning, and I’m about 1/3 of the way to work, and I start to panic.

Did I put the garage door down? Oh crap. I forgot to close the garage. Oh my God. People will steal all my shit. Crap, crap, crap.

But then, I got the bright idea to call my across-the-street neighbor aka Aidan’s part-time sitter. At first, I didn’t think she’d answer–they have this privacy blocker on their phone, all sorts of weird stuff–but I got through. She told me I’d put the garage door down.

WHEW!!

I ate another grilled ham and cheese sandwich today for lunch. The bad thing is that I’d started craving the damn thing at 11pm last night. It was so good, I ate it in ten minutes.

Finished reading Feed by M.T. Anderson. It was a captivating book, but I didn’t get ANY closure at the end. That frustrated me.

I went to Best Buy to see if they had any of the three games I wanted in box form. They had NONE. Which is too bad because I have a reward zone certificate I need to redeem.

I’d considered joining my friends at Bon Vie to celebrate Caty’s birthday. But that’s like, $20 per person to eat there, and I’m feeling very cheap these days.

Then I thought about going to Barnes & Noble to pick up New Moon, but then I decided I didn’t feel like going, nor did I feel like spending the money. I’ll get it Wednesday, when I will have time to kill. It’s not as expensive as I thought it’d be, which is always a good thing.

Now, I will be a lazy, reading bum all evening. Ciao!

Random Recap (Pictures)

Wednesday night:

Rob came over, and I made him spaghetti. The only sauce I had was onion, garlic and something or other else. I didn’t think I’d like it, but after avoiding the onions, it turned out to be VERY tasty. Rob liked it too. I made “garlic bread” out of wheat hamburger buns with butter and Taylor Street cheese sprinkle on top. Oh YUMMMM. We also had a good conversation outside by his car.

Rob is always enjoyable company. πŸ™‚

Uploaded pix to Deviant Art site. I might be addicted to photo posting sites–but nothing will compare to my Flickr. πŸ™‚

What I did last night:

Finally fixed the time settings on my camera, so it wouldn’t say AM when it should say PM.

Decided I needed to figure out how to use the fully manual functions on my camera.

Went down to The Basement (inside Fat Eddie’s) to see Tony Lucca (of former MMC fame) open for Marty Casey (?) and the Love Hammers. Tony was amazing, but he wasn’t really meeting with any fans after the show, which sucked. I wanted a picture with him, so I could compare it to when I met him in 1993.

Was told by the guys that I wasn’t allowed to take pictures with my nice camera at the request of the band. AFTER I’d taken several of Tony already (not knowing this request). They’re afraid I’ll sell them.

I laughed at that. Seriously, who’d want to buy these?

Words

I just realized something.

After banana, poop is my favorite word.

I’m sure Freud would have some interesting things to say about that.

I’m sitting here with a Pirates of the Caribbean Mickey Mouse on my lap.

I’m starving, and I want spaghetti, but it’s too late and I’m too lazy to make it.

I’m also randomly craving a Philly Cheesesteak. Or since I get it sans peppers, onions, and mushrooms, I guess just a steak and cheese. *shrug*

My mind is racing too much about things that I really have no control over, or things that are way in the past and probably shouldn’t affect me as much as they are now, but they are. I hope I get over this soon. Sigh.

Work again tomorrow. Blah. At least I have several new CDs to upload.

I think I might be ready to start writing again.

I need a second job.

Yesterday, while in line for the Millennium Force, one of the boys in front of me asked his friend if he’d go back to the beginning of the line for $100. It was nearly our turns after 90 minutes of waiting. I chimed in and said “OH YEAH!” In a heartbeat, I would! I think the guy instantly fell in love with me. Heehee.

Ciana (starrlyte) says “eleventy&TM,” and I think it’s the funniest thing ever. She won’t tell me what it means, though.

The song Runaway by The Corrs is stuck in my head.

I have a poop-load of pictures to scan tomorrow, for my neighbor.

At Cedar Point, I was responsible for remembering where Craig parked the car. The row was 38B. How we remembered? Thirty-eight bitches on a bitch boat.

I’m really hot. Temperature hot, I mean.

Will Kirby is my hero. I love him.

I really, really want a tattoo soon.

And now, for a random survey stolen from hiddensarah:
