I’m Outside Again!

A bunch of worms had taken up residence in Aidan’s sandbox sometime during the winter. Chris dumped them all out into the grass. The worms all crawled into our driveway and died, so now we have lots and lots of dead and shriveled up worms at the bottom of our driveway.

Why didn’t they stay in the grass?

Weird dead worms.

YAY Rob is here!! Later!

I Want To Go Home!

I am tempted to take off a couple of hours early today. I’m going to ask my boss(es) if I can leave at two instead of four. It’s so beautiful outside, and I just want to relax, run a few errands. Enjoy my last few non-mommy days. πŸ™‚ Work is easy-peasy today, so I won’t get behind.

Had fun at Chad & Christy’s last night again. Craig and Steve came over and Katie was there too. We ate steaks and quesadillas and corn on the cob. Yummmm. Ha, apparently, EVERYONE in the Reynoldsburg/Pataskala/Blacklick area decided to cook out. Rumor has it that Meijer was out of:

– almost all meats
– propane
– prepared salads

Chris and Craig and Steve went back to our house to get the propane off of our grill. I kind of destroyed our grill. I hope they can fix it… but probably not. Chris is okay with that because he wants a new big fancy one. I think we need a patio or something before we do that, though.

We’re getting air conditioning soon. It will be awesome when I throw parties but it will suck all the other times because Chris likes it so bloody cold…

Steve is hilarious. He can tell some stories, let me tell you.

I want to go to the zoo before too long. I want to see the giraffes. Rob?

This morning, I woke up kind of tired but okay. I got ready and left early. Then I hit traffic. There were 4490584905894038 cars out there and they were all slugging along. By the time I got to work, I was drained. My boss was teasing me. Meh.

OPTIONAL TO DO – week of April 11, 2005

So, I guess a group of us is going to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee during Memorial Day weekend. An eclectic bunch of people it will be, but quite fun. I’m excited and nervous about this trip!

I will be quite the traveller next month. Florida for nine days, then a little break, then Tennessee. Good times, huh? Lots of photo opportunities, I’m sure.

Okay then, ’til later.

Outside

I’m posting on my porch. πŸ™‚ <3 Wireless.

I won’t be out here long, though. It’s really warm and too much sun makes me sick. And another bad thing… WASPS. AHHHHH!!!

But wow, today is amazingly gorgeous. I went and did a bit of shopping. Ooh, neighbors are here with a baby. Later! πŸ™‚

Having friends who are depressed is hard. I get very frustrated when I try and try and try and they don’t see that I love them and care about them. Seems like my efforts go unnoticed and I feel like I can’t help them. I hate that helplessness.

I know, I have some nerve saying this stuff with MY history of depression, right? How many times have people told me and then SHOWED me how loved I am, and yet, I insist(ed) on believing that I had nothing or no one. It’s so easy for me to be frustrated now… and so sad that I can forget what it’s like to be in that pit of depression when nothing seems like it will ever get better.

HOW does one help, though? How can I make them see? Or maybe it’s not my job–it’s something they have to see for themselves. πŸ™

On a lighter note, I’m totally skipping church today. It’s all Aimzy’s (hunan) fault. She kept me up til after 6am on AIM. πŸ˜‰ She’s so fun to talk to, I couldn’t help myself. I <3 Aimzy. I think I’m going to work on DOING NICE THINGS FOR PEOPLE today. I’m going to go shopping next week (when I get paid) so I can send surprises to people in the mail! YAY!!!! πŸ˜€

It’s pretty outside, so I think I might sit on the porch and chill out for a bit. Or work on my scrapbooks. I REFUSE to sleep all day today. Absolutely refuse. This is my last full day of “freedom” before the booba gets back, and I intend to enjoy it fully. πŸ™‚ AND it’s going to be 78 degrees today!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!! Cute tops and flip flops, here I come! πŸ™‚

Hmm, maybe I’ll go to a scrapbooking store and use their cropping space. I need to do something. We’ll see.

Whoa, I just went to Greenfield Online and checked my rewards balance, and I had $38! I requested a check today. Woohoo! πŸ™‚ And Chris owes me $50 because he threw out my Verizon phone box, and I needed it to get the UPC for a rebate. Well, he’s going to be paying me back for that, and hopefully learning not to throw things away that don’t belong to him.

I wonder how much money I’ve earned in other surveys? I should cash them all in and put it into savings. Or pay off credit cards! πŸ˜€

Or by a Postal Service CD. I like them a lot. Thanks to Bizzy (otaku_witch) for introducing them to me. πŸ™‚

Okay. Off to bathe and stuff. πŸ™‚

‘Til later

Wheee!

Had LOADS of fun at Christy’s birthday party tonight! Everyone is so funny. πŸ˜€

Jenny E: I wonder what the fireplace looks like when it’s lit?
Christy: It looks the same, only with some fire in it.

Sarah (To Jenny E): What sound does a chicken make? Is it something like BOK BOK?

Lots of laughter, lots of food, lots of fun. πŸ™‚ Happy Birthday, Christy! πŸ™‚
