Fireworks

Red, White, and Boom. The largest display of fireworks in Columbus, Ohio each year. People get so hyped up about it. I’ve never been to Red, White, and Boom, but I’ve seen the fireworks. From various rooftops, or on TV. The fireworks are amazing. Phenomenal. But the music leaves something to be desired. It’s awful. The transitions aren’t smooth at all, and the songs are beyond cheesy. The only time it got good was during the finale, when they played the orchestra music. Otherwise, it’s just awful. Bad music kind of ruins the magic of the show, you know?

I’m not sure I’ll ever be brave enough to deal with those crowds. 500,000 people. Holy hot dog.

Oh snap, literally.

My right headphone just snapped. So now I’m listening to When Doves Cry with a taped up headphone. I really feel like a geek right now.

Stuff

The instability of Live Journal is kind of annoying. But I’m not paying for it, so I can’t complain too much, now can I?

Other than that, here are reasons why today has been pretty good:

1. I am not tired!
2. I got a massage.
3. I ate Japanese Steakhouse.
4. It’s FRIDAY!
5. I got my entire “to do” list done.

So, this massage deal. VERY cool, okay? You pay $15 for 15 minutes, and you get into one of those special chairs. It was nice and very much needed. I need a longer one, next time. I’m so tense and I have knots (ow) and I’m stiff in spots. 15 minutes wasn’t enough, that’s for sure. They also offer 30 minutes for $30, but since I’m saving money, I decided to forgo that one for now.

Razzle Dazzle & Other Assorted Junk

Today my counselor told me to get more sleep because I “don’t look so good” when I don’t get enough. But…why sleep when there is so much else going on?

I ran into Angelo today, and I spent my lunch hour with him at The Coffee Table in the Short North. It was nice to see him.

Right now, I am REALLY enjoying a “Double Chocolately Chunk” Rice Krispies Treat. Mmm. These things are so good. And you can only buy them individually, or in the variety pack. I tried to make them once. They didn’t come out too well.

So yeah. I’m really, really sleepy, and I need to go to bed early tonight. Of course, I’ve been saying that every night for the past several weeks and still end up staying up or out late. But I think I’m even beyond the help of Red Bull at this point.

Posting on Borrowed Time

So, I’m using dial-up right now because Road Runner is being pissy for some reason. I hope it’s back to normal tomorrow. AOL only gives me 5 free dial up hours. Then they charge $2.95 per hour after that. I hate not having broadband. Tonight, I was going to catch up on all my email. I’m disappointed that I can’t do it. So, those of you who read my LJ and send me email, I PROMISE I’ll get back to you ASAP.

Had a fun day Sunday. Sunday school, church, lunch with cool people. I’m always happy to help Jen H delay her Monday. I love the time with Joshua A, and Garth. Chad, Christy and her sister Aimee came too! Lunch was fun. I was glad to see Sheena there, for she is on her way to Kentucky on Tuesday. I didn’t get to know her really well, but I’ll miss her. My little boy. WOW. He went to everyone and gave them all hugs. Then I came home and CLEANED MY CLOSET. Yes, folks. My closet is CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. I’m so thrilled. I hope I can keep it that way for longer than 3 days.

So, here’s the inventory:

[x] Master bedroom
[ ] Living Room (vaccuum and spot treat carpet)

Oh my goodness. I just realized that my monitor is gross. So, another thing to add to my cleaning list:

[ ] Computer Monitor

I need to go shopping. CASH ONLY shopping! Here is my list:

[ ] Air fresheners (assorted types)
[ ] Toilet paper
[ ] Light bulbs
[ ] Trash bags
[ ] Present for Kelly P.
[ ] Prescription refill
[ ] Contact solution

I think that’s all. And yeah, the monitor is driving me nuts. I really need to go to bed. Not sure why I’m not very sleepy. If I lay down, I’d probaby be out like a light, but right now, I’m fine. Sore, but fine. And clean, too. Mmm. I love baths, and I especially like the Oil of Olay bar soap. It smells so yummy and I’m so soft. 🙂 It’s fun to be clean.
