Test! I got 3 out of 5 right!

Test for Dementia

Below are four (4) questions and a bonus question. You have to answer them instantly. You can’t take your time, answer all of them immediately. OK?

Let’s find out just how clever you really are.

First Question:
You are participating in a race. You overtake the second person. What position are you in?

Answer: If you answered that you are first, then you are absolutely wrong!
If you overtake the second person and you take his place, you are second!

Second Question:
If you overtake the last person, then you are…?

Answer: If you answered that you are second to last, then you are wrong again. Tell me, how can you overtake the LAST Person?

Third Question:
Very tricky math! Note: This must be done in your head only.
Do NOT use paper and pencil or a calculator. Try it.
Take 1000 and add 40 to it. Now add another 1000. Now add 30. Add another 1000. Now add 20. Now add another 1000 Now add 10.
What is the total?

Did you get 5000?
The correct answer is actually 4100.
Don’t believe it? Check with your calculator!

Fourth Question:
Mary’s father has five daughters: 1. Nana, 2. Nene, 3. Nini, 4. Nono. What is the name of the fifth daughter?

Answer: Nunu?

NO! Of course not.
Her name is Mary. Read the question again.

Okay, now the bonus round:
There is a mute person who wants to buy a toothbrush. By imitating the action of brushing one’s teeth he successfully expresses himself to the shopkeeper and the purchase is done.
Now if there is a blind man who wishes to buy a pair of sunglasses, how should he express himself?

He just has to open his mouth and ask, so simple.

Post your score in the comments! 🙂

Not Even Right

I saw this sign at Target last week:

Thank You’s???!?!?!?!? PEOPLE! You don’t pluralize anything by adding an “apostrophe s” to the end of it!!!!

Also, here is a picture of the crazy house, as promised.

It doesn’t look as crazy on the picture. But it’s so funny, so lit up. And there is the one window full of random Sponge Bob Square Pants. I HAVE to see it every year. Multiple times, actually.

Sometimes they even have music playing. But it was quiet last night.

So weird.

And from a few weeks ago, the beautiful grammatically INCORRECT poster in Blockbuster:

*shakes head*

If you look at the TV to the left, you can see me taking the picture!! 🙂

Tonight, Chris is taking Aidan to an OSU hockey game. They’re going with Craig. I’m hanging out here, which means I have no definite plans, hint hint all you local folk. 😉

I …

I got the pleasure and honor of spending the evening with Emily (yoimemily)!! I had so much fun. First, I bought her dinner at Max & Erma’s for her birthday. Then we drove around and sang pop songs and looked at Christmas lights. We went in search of “the crazy house” with no luck. I brought her to my house and we hung out a bit before Chris came home. We all headed to Craig’s (where Aidan did some adorable hip-hop style dancing for us) and then back to the neighborhood to search for that crazy house. It took a LONG time but we finally found it. Emily and I took pictures.

Some “jokes” from tonight:

Emily: Let’s go beat Z*** up.
Chris: Yeah. Craig will turn his baseball cap backwards. And I’ll stick a lolipop in my mouth.
Craig: And I’ll kick some A.

BOOTIE!!! 😀

Poopy-poop and the Poopy Bunch.

P-I-S-T!

I had so much fun. Emily is awesome and great and a million other really wonderful adjectives that are escaping me now due to the late hour.

I can’t wait to hang with her again.

This was my horoscope from yesterday:

You are so good at seeing the larger picture, that you’ve missed some important details. Now you are dealing with the results of your own carelessness. This isn’t the end of the world, but apparently you’ll have some work on your hands if you are going to set things right.

The general daily overview:

The Moon is in fiery Leo the Lion, displaying our tendency to demonstrate our feelings with a showy flair. And yesterday’s Venus square with Neptune is still asking us to confront how our attractions and desires may need a reality check. It’s a fuzzy kind of day where our feelings can get easily mixed up, leaving us to clean up an emotional mess. With the Sun creating a hard angle to Saturn, we might abruptly wake up from the dream state we’ve been visiting. And, as the Moon enters critical Virgo at 6:00 pm EST, logic reclaims dominance over emotions.

Holy crap, if that wasn’t right on, I don’t know what was.

I’m Ready To Fly

I’ve been here grounded far too long
I’m ready to see the open wide
Ready to sing a different song
I’ve seen my troubles ‘long the way
I want to sail towards the sun
I want to turn another page
I’m on my way

I’m ready to fly
I’m ready to soar
I’m ready to leave this world behind
I’m ready to open up the door
I’m ready to fly
I’m ready to spread my wings across the sky
I think it’s time
I’m ready to go
I’m ready to fly

You’ve told me I could rise above
Like an eagle on the wind
I can glide upon Your love
But I feel the pull of gravity
And it’s a weight upon my shoulders
I can’t stay here any longer
I’ve gotta be free

And it’s been so long
Since I’ve seen the bright morning sun
Through the early morning horizon
And it’s been so long
Since I’ve felt the air under my wings
And seen all of these things
From above
